To my understanding, even for the Ancient Greeks, phobia had more meaning than just “fear” or “irrational fear”.
If I only had a penny for everytime I heard the “argument” in the first paragraph.
Its cousin is about the “irrational” aspect:
“It’s not irrational to fear the gheys, they are a menuce to societyyy!”
ETA: Oh, I forgot, I edited the part out where he does the “not afraid of gheys” thing, cause boring, I guess.
