I know I'm reaching, but is RFK, Jr. thinking Tylenol is Evil partly because of the Tylenol Murders in Chicago in September 1982?
(RFK, Jr. was arrested for possession of heroin in September 1983, so it's likely he was using drugs in 1982, which would have affected his "thinking".)
I know it's a very looooong shot, but I was visiting family in Chicago at the time, and I witnessed the public hysteria firsthand. (My aunt even went through my luggage looking for Tylenol because the public had been told to throw it all away.)
The Tylenol Murders are why we have all this protective packaging on OTC medicine today, to prove there was no tampering. The terror was very real.
