Actually, it’s not. As we have learned during the last couple decades there very much are ideas, which should not be expressed on pain of imprisonment and fines. Your 1st amendment is a slithering, disgusting abortion of a law. It gives full freedom with very much next to nothing of accountability.
In a civilized society, the slander laws need to be upheld high, so as the common grifter knows the penalty for their trade, this however is not the way in the US of A. Are you truly arguing some form of a sacred law, blessing a conman cretin and thuggish fascist alike with powers to swing the populace simply by repeating lies they know untrue? And should we be even entertaining the idea of people calling for deaths of others by minority? Should we simply resign ourselves to tolerate the insane imbeciles with delusions of being buttpluged by Roger the alien and just so happen to believe in some form of a secret cabal specifically targeting white men of his political persuasion? The discussion on free speech limits is one we all need to have at some point, because as it is being used in the US, it simply cannot continue, else you will see even grosser creatures eventually emerge onto the stage.
