No, they’re not complaining about acquiring the skills. It’s about sexists saying they need to know these skills to land a man, and not taught to boys.

My wife works. We didn’t unload the house onto our kids as caretakers, just taught them basic skills.
My son’s first job, the first time he closed they told him to clean the ladies room. “You try first, I’ll show you what you missed,” his manager said.
Twenty minutes later,the manager was amazed at how clean the room was. Oldest just said, “I have Navy parents.”
I doubt you could pass this test as well…
