Creationism is a far more investigative science then evolution. The reason, is because it sets out to prove something. Evolution ultimately makes up theories that appears to make sense in keeping with the theory.
It's harder to try and prove something without changing the original premise (the Bible) than it is to make changes to a theory not bound by any concrete belief.

St. Catherine's monastery claims to have the actual "burning bush" that we read about in our Bible. Of course the story in the Bible took place 3500 years ago, so how could this bush still be alive today? Is this like the 5,000 year old "Methuselah Tree," said to be the world's oldest tree?
Actually, the Bush clones itself in what is known as asexual reproduction. So where is the opportunity for evolution to take place here? There is no selection involved. As anyone who has ever attended a ivy league college knows, you can not get rid of ivy. In theory it is because as long as you have a half inch section of the root, it will grow into a whole plant. Weeds are the same way. Chop the root up into little tiny peices and all of those peices will reproduce themselves and grow a weed identical to the origional. Some flowers reproduce that way also. You do not need a seed, you just need to keep a section of the root moist. As long as it does not dry out, it will reproduce itself.
The Bible teaches a soteriology -- a means of uniting with God. God tells us that we can unite with him by being pardoned of divine destructive punishment ("justified"), as we believe ("faith") that Christ was punished in our place on the cross ("atonement"). This is the Biblical Christian soteriology: "justification by faith." Other religions have different soteriologies:
Platonism. For example, in Platonism, it is taught that God punishes humans only to correct them and not to destroy them -- kind of like a gardener pruning a tree, or a surgeon cauterizing a patient, or a sculptor chiseling a stone. Thus the fact that you believe God taught you your religion is not grounds for following it rather than converting to Christianity. For, even if you are correct that God taught your religion to you, it is nevertheless false. Only by the Christian soteriology can you unite with God.
You want "proof", you'll have to wait for Him to bring it back. Okay? We Christians have something better than "proof", we have "faith". Okie-doke?

My concern is the damage the teaching of evolution as fact in our schools is leading our young people away from God. If they are taught, and believe that God was not involved in creating the universe, then there is a great danger that they will turn out atheistic, and end up in a place that is not very nice.

I have found a life formula that links the soul of life to the characteristics of light. Light is electromagnetic radiation, 1 force, made up of 2 parts.
The characteristics of its electrical part are negative and positive, and those of its magnetic part are attraction and repulsion. For a long time, I thought the idea of life after death was really bogus. I mean, if your dead, how can you be alive? That don't make any sense at all.
The other day I was listening to the Cannibal Corps's first CD, Eaten back to life. It's the one that has that old classic, Skull full of maggots, on it. Anyway, while listening to it, I realized how God will give us life after death. God will kill the dead back to life.
The way it works is if you are alive and some one kills you, you are then dead. However, if someone kills you after you are already dead, they kill you back to life.

Is this a true or a false statement: Evolution is False? If you could prove Evolution to be ture, then the statement would be false. But science can not prove evolution or anything else to be true. Did we breathe nitrogen??
I was trying to look up some things we know about how creatures, even man may have breathed in the past. I thought I'd throw it out.
I think that massive changes happened, leaving our universe in a different state after the flood sometime. Before this I think evolution could happen very fast.
So, I was considering what evidence exists that might say we MUST have used to breathe as we now do, absorbing the oxygen, etc. Could we tell by any evidence anywhere that this was the case? (and I don't mean looking at a chest cavity, and speculating how it must have worked if the past were the same)
One example that made me think of this is trees. In the past, with a different light, and growing process, from what I can tell of the bible (as in the future) trees grew superfast. In a week or so, in cases.
Could they have did something like absorb the nitrogen, and give off more carbon, or some such? If so, looking at carbon levels in the past in trees would yield no results with any real bearing on any real time.
I hear nitrogen is used in keeping apples fresh over the winter. If we are looking for possible causes of man being able to live for a thousand years almost in the past, could this be one area to explore?
If, say, (I don't know, just guessing here) an apple can be kept pretty fresh for up to 7 months, instead of a week or so on our counter, that is a fantastic difference. 7 days on the counter, in this example, versus 210 days with the nitrogen process. Or, a thirty fold increase in "lifespan"!!
If we now live 80 years, rather than, say 950 years, that means about almost a 12 fold decrease in lifespan.
Can this idea, that we adapted to absorb gases differently be ruled out?

One quick thought... I do remember hearing about the possibility that the foundations of various Gaza Plateau structures (the great pyramids and the sphynx in particular) showed considerable signs of being underwater at some point in history. Do you believe in chance and probability? What are the chances that christian and jewish settlements would manage to not be at major faultlines? Why would such ideologies not take root there? Why would muslim/buddist/hindu/Atheist countries like Indonesia, India, Cuba, etc...constantly be marred by natural catastrophe...only to have the reprocussions of the natural disasters disapate before they can effect neighboring areas?
