Frankly, whenever I think that I may be better of Neurotypical rather than autistic, I’m reminded that complete and utter assholes like the OP exist. And then suddenly I’m relieved I’m more distant from them than most people.
The demonization of autistic people is sick. You know this is a bait and switch. They lump all people on the autistic spectrum together and act like they are all the worst cases when most people who are autistic can live normal or mostly normal lives with no problems.
This is why groups like Autism Speaks are terrible.

If our society wasn’t so focused on ‘neurotypical = good, whole, healthy, everything else = bad, broken, sick’ those kids would be fine. It’s not the autism or any other neurotype that ruins our lives, it’s the abuse we face as neurodivergents in a society that hates us. Did you know that when conditions are discovered, it's not the promotion of the newly recognized conditions and that diagnostics happen, not necessarily because there's a sudden explosion or epidemic, but because there also is increased awareness and attempts at treatments?
Then, did you know that your reputation will not improve by simply claiming that you're sorry, if your reputation remains that of someone who keeps pushing the most outlandish nonsense, something you're still actively doing?
