Today I was thinking: Government needs to have no currency issuing powers whatsoever. They should not be able to debase our currency and we should be able to choice a currency which is fully separate from the state for that reason. I suppose I'm saying we need private currency like BTC (if that could get its act together and stop being a Ponzi to devalue the USD)

So you want your currency to be entirely luck based? Like bitcoins or game stop share? Let’s do that you give me 100 dollar and ok the first day you get a used car and the rest of your life you get half an apple for it let’s see how that works out for you

Sometimes Bitcoin people are as crazy as the Gold Standard people featured here.

You think burdening the economy with currency exchange costs will sure make the things better than now? There’s a reason why most economic areas have unique currencies and why most MEdieval rulers tried to curtail on local lords minting their own currencies.
