If white privilege was real, why don't Colin Kaepernick, Barack Obama, Bubba Wallace, and many other half-white people identify as white? Simple.
Because white privilege doesn't exist.

Let me refer you to the “one drop” rule.
Also, minority communities have historically more accepting of multiracial people than white communities have.
If white privilege was real, why don't Colin Kaepernick, Barack Obama, Bubba Wallace, and many other half-white people identify as white? Simple. Because that would be lying.
Because the racists don’t want to share said privilege, nor did they want people of different races to fraternise and realise that in the end, the differences are just skin-deep, so they spread the notion that, once you have any amount of non-white admixture, your bloodline is tainted forever.
Right, right, right.
I invite you to review the Right's treatment of Elizabeth Warren for claiming some native-American heritage, not even claiming to BE an Indian.
Then imagine Rush Limbaugh's reaction if Obama claimed he was white, esp. on, say, a campaign trail.

Sorry to say that you just don’t understand what white privilege is. I researched it so I could be informed before I made the wrong comments.
White privilege isn’t really about whites, it’s about the coloured people that are pushed down or back out of jobs by having a system that allows them to hire more whites than blacks. It’s not just about privilege, it’s about those who have to fight against that system to get to the same place we can get without much trouble.
I’ll give you an example: A black boy was highly intelligent and it was obvious to anyone who spoke to him at all. The teacher had him tested as the parent’s requested it, and he was proven to have a gifted intelligence high enough to be put into the special programs the school system has for children of higher intelligence.
When they were told he had that high IQ they were also told he would not be put into the gifted program and was very vague about the reasons. When the parents pushed, she just got up set and said He just Isn’t,, OK
That child would have excelled in a gifted program which let him learn with guidance not with the classes the regular school program has. That is one of the reasons children are badly behaved. they are often of higher intellect and bored so they act out. No matter the colour, this is truth.
Now I had 3 children and all three of them were tested and found to be high intellect, and were recommended to be placed in the gifted program. They were the ones that suggested they be tested. They were the ones that wanted them in the program and there was no question if they would be able to cope.
This child is someone I know personally. He should have been in the gifted program just like my sons, but they would not let him. I asked my children how many coloured people had been in their classes. Very few, if any depending on the year, and they had no problem of course putting others in without problems. the only ones they did not seem to put into those classes were the Black children..
I researched white privilege when BLM told us we Knew what white privilege was and should admit it and fix the situations. Not one white person knew what was being talked about. At first it was hard to find articles but now they are in good sites to help white people understand.
White people are everywhere and get most things.. MOST things… given without question. You put a black or coloured person in the exact same situation and they will be passed over for MOST things in comparison to what the white people were given.
So white privilege exists without us all being rich.. But it makes white people richer than it can colored people just because of the way the system works in so many places. They only want to be our equals,, not better than us, not anything but equal in the ways that humans should be equal. It isn’t right that some places have racists who control the diversity of the company and takes advantage of the fact that no one notices. Those are the people we need to recognize and get them out of their jobs a.s.a.p.
Some of the stories out there now are really well written and will help you understand it far more than I am able to explain it. Please go look around - search by racism for blacks.. for colored. you should be able to find a number of the articles that tell us about what they had happened to them just because their skin color is different. That’s not right.. I hope you understand it and will agree it’s not fair to anyone to not be treated equally in all things. God Bless!
I would call most of the men you mentioned coffee-coloured, rather than white, because like your cup of coffee, they are a mix of both. Someone who does pass for white would be Mariah Carey: I didn't know she was part African-American for years, but probably should have, by her singing.
As we have seen recently, white privilege is still very real.
Gee, why don’t people of colour try to escape the prejudice of people who base their entire opinion of them on imaginary caricatures closing off all further logic and the input of their own senses at a mere glance at the colour of someone’s skin or perhaps just from assumptions made from hearing/reading their names by attempting to correct (which even non-assholes often resent) the prejudiced party who have already made up their minds about the person in front of them and are currently tuning them out and mentally replacing everything they say with cartoonish ebonics and chimp noises and assuming whatever the noises are they are leading up to a criminal act, emphasizing the white half of their heritage which is something more overt racists despise spitting invective about miscegenation and requires the other party to be willing to believe there is any white ancestry and not ascribe to the “one drop rule” or generally have degrees of how much they care about race beyond “not pure,” and uttering the phrase “I identify as…” which invokes a visceral emotional reaction of pure unreasoning hatred opening the floodgates for another kind of bigotry altogether that could well make them the target of people whose bigotry does not normally concern race but identity?
All in a purely self-serving, opportunistic way that somewhat bolsters the racial divide by emphasizing the line being drawn completely ignoring if not actively minimizing the underlying problem and incidentally giving you fodder to use in broad stroke smears about being inclined to opportunism and dishonesty saying whatever will get them ahead trading dignity and trampling their integrity underfoot for superficial gains undermining the legitimacy of their grievances?
Could it be because that’s unimaginably stupid, not how anything works, and beside the point? Or that such actions only make sense to the narrative racists push that the entire fight for civil rights is nothing more than a smokescreen to create emotional leverage to con supposed “gibs” out of white people? Something that only makes sense to them because they personally are self-serving and have no scruples or principles they wouldn’t barter away paying lip service to values because they think it shields them and would gladly exploit anything given half the opportunity not for gain but for the principle of teaching a “lesson” to the “suckers” who aren’t looking out for number 1?
Confused?
