Dr Mordechai Kedar #psycho #sexist #wingnut huffingtonpost.co.uk

{from 2014}
An Israeli academic has been defended by his univesity after he implied would-be suicide bombers could only be stopped if their female relatives were threatened with rape.

Dr Mordechai Kedar said he was not suggesting such a tactic, but added "the knowledge that their sister of their mother will be raped" was "the only thing" that would stop terrorists from attacking Israel.
“We can’t take such steps, of course,” Kedar told the programme. “I’m not talking about what we should or shouldn’t do. I’m talking about the facts. The only thing that deters a suicide bomber is the knowledge that if he pulls the trigger or blows himself up, his sister will be raped. That’s all. That’s the only thing that will bring him back home, in order to preserve his sister’s honour.”

Welsh Christian Party #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

A group of Christians say Wales's national flag is "demonic" and should be changed.

The Welsh Christian Party claims the red dragon on the nation's standard is at odds with the country's position as a Christian nation. It wants the flag to be replaced with the black and gold cross of St David.

Party leader the Rev George Hargreaves said a symbol of the devil should not "reign over Wales for another moment". He said: "Wales is the only country in history to have a red dragon on its national flag.

"This is the very symbol of the devil described in the Book of Revelation 12:3. This is nothing less than the sign of Satan, the devil, Lucifer, that ancient serpent who deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden."

The party has launched an online petition calling for a referendum to allow the Welsh people to decide which flag they would prefer.

Historians and even fellow Christians said the symbol of the dragon had a "long tradition" in Wales and was a source of pride.

BRITAIN FIRST TO TARGET ELECTED MUSLIM OFFICIALS

Britain First is about to launch a direct action campaign against Muslim elected officials, at all levels of politics.

Figures such as Sadiq Khan (mayor of London), Sajid Javid (cabinet minister), MOHAMMED Altaf-Khan (mayor of Oxford), Hussain Akhtar (mayor of Blackburn), Shafique Shah (mayor of Birmingham) and so on.

This campaign was prompted by the election of Islamic extremist Sadiq Khan as mayor of London.

Britain First leader Paul Golding said: “Britain First specialises in militant direct action and has tracked down and confronted numerous hate preachers and terrorists.”

“Britain First now considers all Muslim elected officials as “occupiers” and will start to oppose their strategy of entryism and take-over of our political system.”

“Our intelligence led operations will focus on all aspects of their day-to-day lives and official functions, including where they live, work, pray and so on.”

“Britain First has an official policy of banning Islam in the UK and will not stop until all Islamist occupiers are driven out of politics completely.”

“Stand by for a flurry of direct operations, similar to those we have launched numerous times against Islamists such as hate preacher Anjem Choudary.”

Members of the National Union of Students #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

Members of the NUS are attempting to no platform an anti-racism campaigner who founded Hope Not Hate because he is apparently "Islamophobic".

Nick Lowles, director of the organisation, posted a message on Facebook saying he had been targeted by the National Union of Students because he has "repeatedly spoken out against grooming and dared condemn Islamist extremism".

In a statement, Lowles said it was suggested he speak at the NUS' anti-racism conference but there was "push back" from a few leading figures, alleging he was an “Islamophobe".

"This charge is obviously quite ridiculous. I am an independent member of the Government's Anti-Muslim hatred Working Group and over the last few years HOPE not hate, as an organisation, has worked closely with Muslim communities throughout Britain to defeat the politics of hate. Only last December, I co-authored the most comprehensive report into organised anti-Muslim hatred.

"My crime, it seems, has been to repeatedly call on the anti-racist movement to do more to condemn on-street grooming by gangs and campaigning against Islamist extremist groups in the UK and abroad.

"I make no apology for either position. We need to be consistent in our opposition to extremism - from whatever quarter it comes - just as we need to be more vocal in our condemnation of child sex grooming.

"The situation is almost amusing in its absurdity, but I want to stress that my beef is with a small group of ultra-leftists within the NUS, not NUS itself, who were, I'm led to believe, unaware of all this."

Megan Dunn, president of the NUS, told HuffPost UK: "Hope Not Hate is not on NUS’ no platform list. I would happily share a platform with anyone from Hope Not Hate tomorrow. Representatives from Hope Not Hate, including Nick Lowles, have and continue to be invited to NUS events.

"I have tried to clarify this issue with Mr Lowles but have been unable to contact him."

The NUS has a colourful history of attempting to no-platform speakers.

Most recently, gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell was branded "transphobic" by an NUS officer, who refused to speak at an event with Tatchell.

Ghost Nightclub & anonymous bouncer #racist huffingtonpost.co.uk

A video has emerged of a bouncer at a Leicester nightclub seemingly telling a group of students they would not be allowed entry because they were black.

Kosi Orah, a 19-year-old University of Leicester student was celebrating his birthday with three other friends when he says the incident occured.

"Is it because we're black?" one student asks the bouncer for Ghost Nightclub. "That's what I'm saying," the bouncer replies. "I've got no problem with you guys. If it was my club I'd have no problem, but it isn't.

"That's why I want to tell you straight. I don't want to dick around with you," the bouncer continues. "I've got no problem with you guys at all but that's the rules of the club."

When asked if policy quoted by the bouncer was legal, he replies: "Sadly they're allowed to make up whatever they want."

A statement from the Ghost Nightclub said: ""We reiterate that we only have a shoes-only, 18-plus door policy.

"I urge people to take a look at our Facebook page to see that we welcome people from all walks of life.

"This is a 45-year-old business - the oldest nightclub in the city - which has been owned by the same family for all that time.

"We urge the group of students who were turned away to get in touch with the management of Ghost Nightclub so that we can resolve this."

Orah told The Sun: "He was almost apologetic. But it was sickening. It left us devastated. It was like the kind of incident you heard about happening in parts of America in the 1960s."

Leicestershire Police said: "The incident has been reported and recorded and inquiries are ongoing," a police statement said.

"We take reports of racism extremely seriously and would encourage anyone who has been a victim of such a crime to contact us."

When i was at school we were taught Darwin's Theory of Evolution as a FACT.
(also we were taught creationism - so we had both sides). Now Darwin is being ousted for Sudden Change Theory, now being taught as a FACT. Creationism, or Divinely Guided evolution, is ousted from schools. "In the last days will be mockers". As Godlessness has spread in the west, so the deterioration in morals and decency has deteriorated along with it. What is right seems wrong and what is wrong seems right. If we are here for not ultimate reason and heading fast for eternal oblivion, then why bother about human decency? Just have to keep clear of the law.

Hasan Aziz #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

Do you agree that the UK is becoming more and more immoral. Sadly the good old days of the forties and fifties are long gone, when people used to pray before meals and trust in the true living God.Secularism and liberalism is the cause of much if not all the problems in the UK. I hope your are proud of what you liberals have done to my once beloved and beautiful country?

[slightly below in comments]:

What he said about the floods and heavy winds as a judgment from God is true. When we break God's moral laws, i.e., abortion, sexual immorality, adultery, continual distortion and maligning of moral realities, etc. we will incur His wrath. Sadly, the UK is brainwashed by the lies of evolutionary theories, and until the UK wakes up and collectively and humbly submits to God in sincere repentance, there is much worse to come. My name is Hasan, I've been an evangelical Christian for 17 years. My message, leave your idols, immoral and selfish pre-occupations and submit to God, or face the ultimate consequences, if not here, then certainly, in eternity.

David Silvester #fundie #homophobia huffingtonpost.co.uk

The UKIP Councillor for Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire has written an odd, homophobic letter to a local newspaper.

David Silvester, who resigned from the Conservative Party over David Cameron’s same-sex marriage policy, has said gay marriage is to blame for Britain's recent spell of bad weather in a letter to The Henley Standard.

He wrote: "Since the passage of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act, the nation has been beset by serious storms and floods."

Ominously discussing the flooding in his letter to the newspaper Mr Silvester ponders: "Is this just global warming or is there something more serious at work?"

Expanding on this rather doom-laden suggestion, he launches into an eyebrow-raising tirade, quoting The Bible, and explaining that acts like gay marriage are to blame for storms, disease, pestilence and war.

"The scriptures make it abundantly clear that a Christian nation that abandons its faith and acts contrary to the Gospel (and in naked breach of a coronation oath) will be beset by natural disasters."

He does say he warned the Prime Minister about the gays and their apparent secret agenda to destroy humanity, adding: "I wrote to David Cameron in April 2012 to warn him that disasters would accompany the passage of his same sex marriage Bill.

"But he went ahead despite a 600,000-signature petition by concerned Christians and more than half of his own parliamentary party saying that he should not do so.

"Now, even as Cameron sheds crocodile tears on behalf of destitute flooded homeowners, playing at advocate against the very local councils he has made cash-strapped, it is his fault that large swathes of the nation have been afflicted by storms and floods.

"He has arrogantly acted against the Gospel that once made Britain 'great' and the lesson surely to be learned is that no man or men, however powerful, can mess with Almighty God with impunity and get away with it for everything a nation does is weighed on the scaled of divine approval or disapproval."

Demetri Marchessini #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

I am very flattered about receiving so much attention from the Huffington Post. However, there are, unfortunately, a few misconceptions in your article. You say that I said “six absurd things”. To begin with, you do not seem to be aware that the Bible states that anyone who wears the clothes of the opposite sex is “an abomination”. Is God “absurd” or sexist? Since then, for thousands of years, until very recently, wearing the clothes of the opposite sex was considered a crime in the Western world, with severe punishment. Were all these billions of people “absurd” or sexist? A few years ago, the Pope said in a speech that “The blurring of the genders is more dangerous to the world than the destruction of all the rain forests”. Is the Pope “absurd” or sexist? Here are your six points.

1. That everyone has the obligation to look as attractive as possible. This has been a basic principle of civilised behaviour since the beginning of civilisation. Do you find that absurd?

2. That women wear trousers like a uniform – they are no longer something that women wear sometimes, but have become something that every women wears every single day. That is a uniform. If you stand in the street, as I did, and count the women coming by, less than one in ten is wearing a skirt. It is a uniform. They know perfectly well that men do not like it, but they do it anyway.

3. Women cannot see themselves from the rear – that is a physical fact. So they are unaware how unflattering trousers look on them from the rear. That was the point of my book. It is a series of photographs of women in trousers from the rear.

4. Countless women are unattractive in trousers. That is perfectly obvious. Any women who is overweight looks bad in trousers, but also women who are too thin look bad in trousers. Yes, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and Audrey Hepburn looked alright in trousers, but very few women have bodies like that.

5. The more women dress like men, the less attractive they are to men. That too is obvious. What men like is femininity, just as women like masculinity. Wearing trousers makes women look more masculine.

6. Let us make clear that I never said that no men like women in trousers. Obviously everyone has different tastes. But I do not agree that 90% of men like women in trousers. They do not. Since the beginning of time, women have dressed to please men. Everyone knows that. Yet, in the last 30 years, they have stopped doing so, and they are wearing clothes not on the basis of what is attractive to men, but for political reasons, in order to pretend that they are the same as men. They do not realise how much that turns men off.

When my book came out, several men came up to me and said, “I agree with you, but I do not dare say anything”. What a ridiculous situation!

Muhammad Daming Sanusi #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

There are calls for a judge to be dismissed after he told lawmakers rape victims "may enjoy intercourse" with their attackers.

Muhammad Daming Sanusi is currently a judge at Indonesia's Banjarmasin High Court in South Kalimantan, and made his comments as he applied to become a Supreme Court justice.

According to the Jakarta Post, Sanusi told the country's House of Representatives Commission on Monday: "Both the victims of rape and the rapist might have enjoyed their intercourse together, so we should think twice before handing down the death penalty."

[...]

Sanusi, who has been a judge for 24 years, later apologised for his comments during a press conference in which he claimed he had been nervous and had been making a joke.

News agency Antara quoted him as saying: "I made the remark without realising it can harm peoples' feelings."

Lord Carey #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

Britain risks becoming a totalitarian state as a result of gay marriage and could go the way of Nazi Germany, Tory opponents of the government's plans have heard.

Addressing an anti-gay marriage rally in Birmingham Town Hall on the fringes of the Tory Party conference on Monday, the former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey said Christians had so far been "too timid" in their opposition to the government's plans.

He also warned that those of faith could even begin to experience the persecution endured by the Jews in Nazi Germany if they dared to speak out if same-sex marriage laws were passed.

"Remember that the Jews in Nazi Germany, what started it against them was when they were called names, that was the first stage towards that totalitarian state," he said.

He added: "It's part of a slippery slope where the unintended consequences could be shocking."

Lord Carey said politicians were trying to "plunder" the institution of marriage. "It's like annexing what was regarded as specific to make and female relationships."

He added: "Same sex relationships are not the same as heterosexual relationships and should not be put on the same level."

Along with the other speakers including former shadow home secretary Ann Widdecombe and current backbench Tory MP David Burrows, Lord Carey took exception to the 'Coalition4Marriage' campaign being called "bigots".

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

An attempt to whip up anti-Islamic sentiment by the leader of the English Defence League has spectacularly backfired on Twitter on Monday.

On Sunday night, EDL leader Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson, tweeted a complaint about a picture of a "mosque" on the Twitter front page (it was actually the Taj Mahal), highlighting the image as another example of #creepingsharia.

However, rather than stoke far-right feeling, the Luton-based activist unintentionally started a comedy twitter trend.

Amid traffic about the start of Anders Breivik’s trial in Oslo, the Twitterati hijacked the tag, with #creepingsharia being blamed for everything from “algebra on the curriculum” to “no ham left in the fridge”.

Lord Carey #fundie huffingtonpost.co.uk

In the submission, Lord Carey said the outward expression of traditional conservative Christian values has effectively been "banned" under a new "secular conformity of belief and conduct".

The former archbishop argued that in "case after case" British courts have failed to protect Christian values and urged European judges to correct the balance.

He said there was a "drive to remove Judeo-Christian values from the public square" and argued UK courts have "consistently applied equality law to discriminate against Christians" as they show a "crude" misunderstanding of the faith by treating some worshippers as "bigots".

In his submission, Lord Carey, who was archbishop from 1991 to 2002, wrote: "In a country where Christians can be sacked for manifesting their faith, are vilified by state bodies, are in fear of reprisal or even arrest for expressing their views on sexual ethics, something is very wrong.

"It affects the moral and ethical compass of the United Kingdom. Christians are excluded from many sectors of employment simply because of their beliefs; beliefs which are not contrary to the public good."

He added: "It is now Christians who are persecuted; often sought out and framed by homosexual activists.
