The same people who say bacteria is indicative of life in any part of the universe, are the ones who will say fetuses are just clumps of cells. To them, the science is either general consensus or whatever the hell they want it to be.

That's not to say that I condemn any women who underwent an abortion because they felt that they didn't have any alternatives, but this goes out to any vile, shady Far-Lefties who encourage people to take no responsibilities.

Bacteria we find somewhere out there wouldn't even be "indicative" of life, that'd be some pretty solid proof that life exists there as far as proving things in science goes.

…Except that, afaik, bacteria can live on their own without necessarily needing a host organism to parasitize, unlike fetuses. Plus, as opposed to fetuses, nobody’s saying that healthy adult humans should die just so a few bacteria can live. …Well, not unless you’re named Nurgl- ooooohhhhhh That actually explains a LOT!

Year 2030: a small group of scientists have invented a realization of the Flux Capacitor and installed it in an old yellow schoolbus turned RV.

They gather a group of pregnant women who for various reasons all want an abortion and offer to take them back to the mid-1990s, when Roe v. Wade was still in effect.

Bacteria living on their own in outer space somewhere or on a planet or whatever wouldn’t be indicative that life exists elsewhere, it would be proof. Also, both of those you say are true. Bacteria are living things and a fetus is just a clump of cells. It’s a clump of cells with the potential to be their own living creature but it’s not there yet and won’t be for awhile. They are not just miniature babies like you all seem to think.

I note that most fundies don’t actually have any issue with science in general, particularly when science leads to technology which improves their personal lives. Though in some cases they might simply be compartmentalizing “science” and “technology” from each other.

The do have a problem when the same science which produces their technology implies that at least some of their ideology and/or theology might just be delusions born of ignorance. This is taken as an attack on their personal worldview, so “obviously” scientists must be out-of-touch elitists who make up stupid shit because they think they’re better than the common folk. If not outright evil. Sorry buddy, that says more about you than anything real.

Being alive doesn't mean you're a living person due full human rights.

If we find bacteria in outer space, then that means there's life in outer space. What the fuck else do you think bacteria are? And a fetus is alive, sure, but it's still just a clump of cells that shouldn't trump the pregnant person's right to make their own medical decisions.
