The older I get the more absurd the concept of “dinosaurs roamed the earth until a great big meteor hit” becomes to me.

The older I get the dumber I become.
FTFY
... why? Why does "Among other things, a giant impact that blotted out the sky and exacerbated a massive change in climate that helped kkill off the dinosaurs" seem more and more outrageous as you get older?
Is it because you don't understand the mechanics and your knee jerk hatred of things you don't understand grows as you age? Is it because you're getting more and more irrelevant so "virtue" signaling to the fuckwit cultists who are the only ones who tolerate your bullshit is the only way you can get cash flowing in? Or how about that you've never appeared to be anything other than an unintelligent, small minded, and superstitious idiot who just has gotten more comfortable spouting off creationist bullshit?
The fact that we find dinosaur fossils (as well as others) in every corner of our world is pretty convincing proof that they once ruled the planet. And their sheer number and variety is fascinating .
If you don't want to accept that then you are a very ignorant and boring person.
I was tempted to post an ageist joke, but resisted.
I'll link this that's a good starting point instead: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence_of_common_descent
It's about evidence, not personal opinions.
Edit/Adding:
Well... ok: General Gradual Mental Degeneration Disinformation Syndrome (GGMDDS)
Candace, we have the crater (near Chicxulub Pueblo in Yucatan). We have the iridium deposits at the exact geological line where we suspect them to be. We have non-avian dinosaur fossils around the world suddenly stopping to exist after exactly that line.
Pray tell, what kind of new evidence makes the prospect more “ludicrous” to you? Hell, what do you know about the impact theory in the first place? Or is it just that you don’t LIKE the theory? That your precious kind of creationist feelings are hurt because this indicates an old Earth and doesn’t support the flood narrative from the bible? Do you believe that asteroids couldn’t possibly crash into Earth? That non-avian dinosaurs were too hardy to be wiped out by such a catastrophe? No, you are basically saying nothing at all. Facts over feelings my ass.
A huge impact ensured the dinosaurs’ extinction, sure: yet we have the evidence of their existence.
You can’t even make a impact on the latter, Candarse.
“The older I get”
Or the more conservative the audience you aim for.
“the more absurd the concept of “dinosaurs roamed the earth until a great big meteor hit” becomes to me.”
Do you not understand it? or whhat? What’s the absurdity? Do you think that dinos were great big lizards, and stronger than an impact?
Have you never seen a disaster movie based on the idea a meteor could fall from the sky and wipe out humanity?
I just can’t see where the story falls apart, in your head.
OH! Are you claiming there never WERE dinosaurs?
@Sasha #199418
That’s beside the fact that they found the crater where the thing hit. And I know people who were part of discovering that the iridium at the K-T boundary is global. Iridium only comes from one place and that’s meteors and asteroids. Well, and you can occasionally find it in the Pelican Town quarry and the mine in Calico Desert.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
