If that happen, i'm courious to see how somes peoples, so happy to see "strong females characters" , "gender-fluids heroes", or "heroes from diversity" in movies and comics, will react.

I'm sure they will gladly enlist them/shem/theirselves to serve their country, to doing the same things they see in theatres.

Look, it’s one thing to complain about the new female Adeptus Astartes because it “breaks the lore”, supposedly. Even though Retcons have been a persistent thing in fiction since forever, but I digress. It’s another thing entirely to scream that women are inherently inferior soldiers to men in every aspect. And that is why we “woke folk” look down upon you.

Besides, the Imperium already had a female-only arm of its Ecclesiarchy’s military; the Adepta Sororitas/Sisters of Battle were a thing since the beginning. Don’t see people complaining that they exist…

Also, I assume you’re failing to see the irony of naming yourself after the Brotherhood of Steel, who most blatantly has female Knights and Paladins amongst its ranks.

Custodes have custom built superhuman bodies. The idea that the male ones have to be stronger then female doesn’t work.
Feminists in Europe have fought the idea of mandatory male service in the army, usually by fighting against mandatory service rather then by trying to open it up to women. It was long ignored in the US that the draft registration was male only but since Vietnam there has never been any real consideration of using the draft. It was just a bit of historical cruft.

Not a W40K player, but played lots of RPGs. I've played female characters. Played with women who played female characters, and male characters. Big whoop.
The idea of an RPG is, as the name would suggest, to act as *somebody else.* The very worst players are those who demand that their every character must be the same whiny little loser they are in real life.

By the way, one of my best friends is married to a trans man who just finished active duty in the U.S. Army. By all accounts he did just fine.

Given how dire is the military situation of the Imperium, how much outnumbered is manking compared to the Tyranids, the Eldars, the Ork, the Necrons and the Chaos forces (whether internal or external), and given how advanced is genetic engineering in the Imperium and how many subjects it has, it shouldn’t be surprising that the Space Marines are also recruiting women to fight for the God Emperor of Mankind.

Games Workshop is allowed to alter their lore whenever they want. It's their lore after all.

Told you this recollection (yes, there were circa 2005 releases which referenced female Custodes; they just fell by the wayside until now) would get us offering material.

Mate they wear big ass power armor that will hide their physical characteristics and the only way you can tell is when they talk and nothing else. Fuck ALL Custodes have the same enhancements no matter what so they’ll be the same regardless of what’s is or is not danglingly around their legs. I was serving in the Navy when they decided to put women on combat vessels. It was before ‘woke’ was a term white Neanderthals used, but there was the same reaction from a lot of idiots. Scorn, sexism, isolation, and ‘Equal Opportunity’ seminars which were mostly guys telling horror stories they’d heard about a woman getting a guy written up for doing “nothing wrong.”
They’re working out the kinks, same as they did for women serving in ANY capacity, and blacks being anything but mess cooks.
They’ll adapt.

Women REALLY DO make better combat pilots. Their reflexes are faster, and upper body strength isn’t all that important in the cockpit, pun intended.
They tend to be smaller to a given amount of oxygen lasts longer, fuel savings for the same reason, which extends their range ever so slightly.

So, yeah, sometimes the ‘same old shit’ is actually right.

And the idea that women have been fighting to fight for their countries gets ignored as well. Likewise no one, male or female should be forced to fight, so this isn't the own he thought it would be.

I don’t know much about “W40k” but anyway tho, I have played a few of those “hentai RPGs” on my computer quite a lot…the kind of ones where you’re playing as a male character who ends up with mostly female party members. A few were “adventurers” on their own before, or were in the military, and one who was (and still is) a paladin. (which does get kind of amusing, because she’s a “holy paladin” and all while being with this guy who’s a major pervert, lol) I guess if I have any points to that, it’s that having badass fighting women on your side sounds pretty cool to me, and anyway, hey, it’s a damn game. It’s supposed to be FANTASY, ain’t it? So what if it reflects reality or not? Fuck, if I did a mere fraction of the shit the main characters in some of those games did, I’d probably be thrown in prison for a long time at least, and deservedly so!

Well, technically 40k is more “science fantasy”, but you’re still 100% correct. IN A WORLD with space demons, space gods, space cyborg zombies, space orks, space elves, space wizards and all that, having female space marines seems like the least fantastical element…

OP doesn’t even know how many European countries still have military service (and, for example, germany did until way later than the 90s) or that Finland now has military service for young women since the threat of Russia expanded.

But using FUCKING 40K for anything is beyond silly. Like, dude, get your head straight.

Yeah, often the lines between “science fiction” and “fantasy” get kinda blurred, anyway. One of my favorite video games of all time is Final Fantasy IV, where for like half the game, it’s regular ol’ swords and sorcery kinda stuff, but airships are totally a thing, so maybe it’s kinda “steampunk”…but then later, you get what’s basically a spaceship and go the MOON, lol.

Huh. TBH, not even I am that far into the rabbit hole that I had even heard of said mod. And while I normally think “mod to your heart’s content”, even/especially if said mods are NSFW ones, I can only say good riddance to that. Some things are just too pathetic to be allowed to exist.

Unfortunately, the screenshot wasn’t in the forum I remembered. {sigh} I remember it was a scan or photo of a page of a short story or book, and offhandedly referred to the “men and women” of the Custodes, or at least general Space Marines, attending some manner of rally.
