[The Center for Christian Virtue is lobbying against Erin’s Law, which calls for educating children about sexual abuse.]
Moreover, the Center for Christian Virtue wants Erin’s Law education to be abstinence-only, even though it’s not about sex, it’s about sexual abuse. The conservative Christians say that state law requires all sex education in the state to teach that abstinence is the best way to prevent sexual transmitted infections and prevent pregnancy.
“If we’re going to do that in the state of Ohio, it’s got to be abstinence-related,” said David Mahan of the Center for Christian Virtue. “It’s not opinion. It’s law.”

Oh..HELL NO! I juat didnt read about some fucker complaining that alloeing anti-rape educatuon is contingant upon it being abstinance only.... did I?
The sheer fucking IRONY that rape in of itself involves the forced and very much unwanted sexual activity of its victim precludes any amd all abstinance whatsoever.......
Im fucking DONE with this bullshit!
Fuck you Christians, Im now going to official identify as a NONE. Consider this my dear John letter.
My values morals and ideals are no longer associated with what you openly claim as youres.
Moreover, this B.S about abstinence will only serve to allow members of your own communities (like Josh Dugger) to continue to abuse children.... but thats what you monsters want isnt it?
Let me guess. Is this the version where you tell the person who is trying to rape you “no thanks”, and if that doesn’t work, clasp your knees together? And we’re talking children here, which makes this approach even less realistic. Or is this the magical thinking version where if you’re resolved to chastity, you simply won’t be targeted?
I mean, a lot of people who don’t really understand rape or sexual abuse have some really weird and messed-up ideas which lead to victim-blaming, but either of these lines of thinking is wronger than usual.
I suppose the only redeeming thing I could accept from the premise is that when it comes to children, teaching them that people shouldn't be having sex with them/touching them inappropriately is okay. Knowing that no one is supposed to be doing that is sorta abstinence. That's my outlook before seeing what is actually said.
And looking at the article, yeah, fuck the Center for Christian Virtue. They say they aren't pro-child abuse, but everything they want to change will only facilitate abuse.
For starters, it’s something about rape, an event which, by definition, can’t be consented by one of the parties ; therefore, speaking about abstinence for rape is like speaking about suicide abstinence when describing murder.
HOW STUPID CAN THESE IDIOTS GET? THOSE KIDS WANT TO ABSTAIN BUT THEIR ABUSERS WON’T LET THEM!
Welp, it’s official, Ultra-Fundies support sex abuse and feel that sex abuse should be a Fundie authority’s privilege!
If we’re going to do that in the state of Ohio, it’s got to be abstinence-related
You think that's a credible 'Opinion', OP? Meanwhile, Josh Buggar. Your opinion is factually wrong. Therefore you are too. Ergo, your opinion is invalid.
In the words of HAL-9000, 'Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye. '
Conservatives™ believe an awful ARG on 8chan, claiming to be a top agent giving out undoubtably strictly confidential information about Trump’s secret war in an increasingly faux-enigmatic style and invoking every conspiracy theory ever, to be real. They propose laws criminalising not performing medical procedures they had been informed do not actually exist as murder . They tried to overturn the election in the name of states that do not exist. They try to promote abstinence-only sex education on the topic of rape.
And yet, it is progressives who are the “Clown World”?
So I'm guessing the whole thing will be "just say no to getting raped, and if you get raped anyway, better hope there are no lingering consequences because whores like you should have prevented that and you'll get no help!". These people are disgusting.
Yes, someone tell the child molesters that it’s abstinence only, or we’ll get some big weightlifting dude to smash your head right in! Oh, that’s not you meant, as I would assume from The Center for Christian Virtue. More about preaching at the kids, and then shaming them, for something that happened which they didn’t want in the first place!
Since they only service adults, I would say some brothels have more virtue than you lot.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
