Imagine your soul as a drop of water, independent for a time, but able to seamlessly integrate back into the ocean. To return to the Pleroma would be to return to the conscious waters of God itself, of you.
Fuck, this reminds me of a fantasy setting I keep fooling around with (worldbuilding-wise). Basically, there is some sort of a “concept-space” (Pleroma), where souls end up, and usually dissolve into memory fragments and loose concepts, from which other things can form. Like gods. Not because of belief, but because the concept “god” gains a lot of “mass”, due to many dead people adding on to it.
If only these idiots could separate fantasy from reality. Then, maybe they could do something useful with their weird ideas, instead of turning them into delusions.
But then again, they are all horrible writers. I mean, who would read anything about the strange and mystical magickal force called “Density”?
