They killed him because he was good
Ignoring for a moment that “good” is a VERY subjective term; oversimplifying politics as a battle of “good vs. evil” is dangerous. People aren’t that binary in RL. Nothing is that binary IRL. There is FAR more nuance and grey areas to RL people and politics.
For example, as much as I personally hate Charlie Kirk and everything he stood for, at least I’m not pretending he was an “evil demon who does evil things for the sake of being evil because evil”. He was still a human, as flawed and stupid they can possibly be, probably did love his wife and children, and may have genuinely thought what he was doing was for the better of some.
What you’re doing is dehumanizing anyone you disagree with. That is how opression, murder, and atrocities like the holocaust happen. If anything, what you’re doing is the actual evil thing here.
And just to be clear, evil, rotten people can exist. Trump, Putin, Kim Jong Un, Hitler, Stalin, etc. I’m not denying that. Nor am I denying that the world would be better of without them in power. But that does not mean that EVERYONE who is on their side of the “spectrum” is an “evil demon who does evil things for the sake of being evil because evil” and deserves to be exterminated by whatever you designate as the “righteous paladins of good”.
