From what I’ve seen, this was a common thought expressed by soldiers in WWII.
Bill Mauldin drew cartoons for the Star and Stripes. He reported that no one walked around Europe saying they hated the Nazis or they wanted to shoot Hitler.
They entered cities that the Germans had held and said they hated the fucking Krauts. They buried platoon mates shot in combat and railed against the Germans. They ducked under machine gun fire and cursed the goddamned Huns.

I have to wonder, though, how many simple, apolitical soldiers such as you postulate looked around the destruction and blamed the Allies, and how many blamed Hitler.

Aren’t there supposed to be lots of Conservative™ seasoned farmers, ranches and other agriculturalists? Surely, they, above everyone else, should be well aware that there is indeed a shift in the long-term weather patterns, that the summers are getting hotter, winters are getting warmers, periods of both drought and excess wetness become more prevalent, and everything is getting less predictable.
I postulate that any farmer that denies climate change must be actually just an uninvolved land owner merely cashing in on the fruits of others’ field labours, an abysmal farmer who is an embarrassment to this ancient and noble profession, or both.

It’s not “calling brand new things racist,” it’s more like “bringing awareness that something actually is racist when you didn’t maybe think it was.” Like I always knew about and saw the brand of “Uncle Ben’s” rice, but I only realized when I heard of a controversy about that a while back, that yeah, it totally IS rooted in some racist stuff. One thing being that white southerners in the “Jim Crow era” often refused to call a black man something respectful like “Mister”, so they were “Uncle” instead.

I can tell you from personal experience my psychiatric meds reduced my panic attacks, which happened almost daily and which were ruining my life, to a far more controllable level. No amount of “thinking positive” ever came close to doing that.

Liberals are all ‘Follow the science!’ until it lines up with what a few right wing commentators say.

I’ll admit I’m not an expert on what this guy is talking about here, but in my experience, “what a few right wing commentators say” is more often than not ANTI-science. Anyway, if I’m looking for opinions on mental health issues and such, I’ll go with those of actual medical and mental-health professionals over those of “right-wing commentators” ANY day, thank you!

I mean, our time is based on sun-overhead (or whatever position you want to reference). and the duration from previous ‘sun-overhead.’

What would remain, right now, in our time references if the sun HAD stopped for a day? How could the current time references reflect a past change?

You’d need TWO time references in operation at all times from this alleged biblical event to right now, so you could compare them for a difference. The ‘position of the sun’ reference is the only one that’s been continuously in operation for all that time. There’s nothing to compare it to.
That entire story of a supercomputer detecting all the bible references to stopping time is not only mythical, it’s impossible.
