"There's such a thing as the truth and facts, and we have to stick to it, and that is the truth," she said, quoting deniers: "Nobody died in the Holocaust, either. That's the truth. It should happen. Six million Jews should die right now, because they cause all the problems in the world, but it never happened."

Actually, “truth” and “facts” are not synonymous at all; and from my experience only those dumb enough to think so (like you) are the ones who keep spouting “alternative facts” while presenting them as “THE TRUTH!!!!!!” .
I mean, for one, take lie detectors as an example. If you truly believe a lie to be true, then it’ll genuinely fool the lie detector, even if it’s factually incorrect. That’s because “truth” is subjective, as opposed to “facts”, which are objective. They’re called “LIE detectors” for a reason, not “Fact detectors”.
And concerning how you feel the need to use your “truth” to demonize an entire group, I am once again reminded of one of the greatest manga quotes I have ever read: “There is no such thing as truth in this world. That is our reality. Anyone can become a god or a devil. All it takes is for someone to claim that to be the truth.”
“There's such a thing as the truth and facts”
Yeah, there is but you choose to waltz all over it and spit on the remains because by those facts you are a fucking degenerate nazi and need to follow your fuhrer.
I can't believe my local Cozi TV station still shows reruns of her sitcom. It was enjoyable in the Nineties, but not anymore.
Although I am glad Johnny Galecki, Sara Gilbert, and Laurie Metcalf got work on "The Big Bang Theory". It's hardly fair when cast members are affected by a star's hatefulness. I'm looking at you, "Cosby Show".

Even worse: lie detectors are only stress detectors. The guy who invented them even said that they were useless for determining the truth or falsehood of statements, because they merely detected stress responses. Ergo, an innocent person is actually more likely to get false positives (especially if questioned by an aggressive test-giver), and a career criminal or sociopath is more likely to pass even when telling obvious lies.
So the very name itself is a lie, much like the word “truth” is a lie when used by the alt-right.
Ehh, having read at the source, it does seem like she was being sarcastic, and/or just referring to arguments Holocaust deniers make, rather than making such an argument herself.
I’d file this under ‘meh.’
Confused?
