Is it? There is no grand proclamation, no signs in the sky. Just the same damn thing that happens every year with varying intensity/damage.
You can believe your god is so powerful that he can spawn wildfires while simultaneously being so impotent his alleged omnipotence is thwarted by fire fighters. Or completely misunderstanding his will, testing mankind with the fires that a strong sense of community and planning would make sure wouldn't be an issue, but because the US is so terrible it always is an issue.
But, you dislike California because you're an asshat, so for you. Must be "God's Will" they're burning, right?
Okay, every house with lamb’s blood on the door, we don’t put the fires out. Everyone else, we protect.
When Florida drowns and Texas freezes it’s God’s Willtm that you come together in true American spirit to put aside your differences and help your neighbours without trying to politicize anything. To open the coffers, commit resources, labour, even lives to the cause. Except, you know, still trying to politicize renewable energy which represents only a fraction of Texas’ energy dwarfed by what was lost when gas lines froze and regulatory standards that Texas went to extreme lengths to not have to comply with that would have prevented the gas lines from freezing.
When it’s a state that has always been there for you but they don’t hate as you hate then it’s your Christian duty to reject your fellow Americans and pray for them to burn. To make the forces of nature the direct responsibility of those you need to invent fault with and politicize everything from how the state voted to having at some point in time hired a black firefighter, or a woman, or transgender, or asexual, or they worship the wrong god so they deserve no respect for the fact they are out there risking their life. And that somehow automatically means everyone is incompetent in ways that a white man presiding over a disaster is not and hiring white people exclusively will forestall God’s wrath BUT WE SOLVED RACISM WHEN OBAMA WAS ALLOWED TO BE PRESIDENT WE SWEAR ALSO NOBODY WAS RACIST EVEN BEFORE THEN BECAUSE WHITE SUPREMACY IS A MYTH NOW HOW ABOUT THAT DEI LITERALLY BURNING THE COUNTRY DOWN?
When the time comes that maniac Trump tries to act on his threats to get the US military to annex Canada and Mexico and Panama, and Greenland, and whoever the fuck else the dumb thug has tried to suggest he’ll mug this week if the country doesn’t throw their wallet at him I hope California and other states being viciously back stabbed by their own disgusting countrymen consider simply ditching the Union to be part of a country that doesn’t eat its own. Because Canada and Mexico are there fighting for American lives and a CHILLING number of Americans would sooner have those water bombers shot down than even cop out with the usual “thoughts and prayers and fuck all else.”
See what tune they sing when they lose one of the driving economic forces of the entire country. See how much those MAGA hardcores living in rural, barely populated, middle of buttfuck nowhere, self-important communities of hypocrites who don’t realize they’re subsidized by the people they spit on and act as though utterly convinced they’re the country’s aristocracy with a divine right to dictate to the masses despite using “the Elites” as a favoured insult miss the Blue state ironically keeping their national budget out of the red. They have gotten way too comfortable having their votes count for quadruple when compared to the densely populated cities and states they spend so much of their time insulting as not being “real America” despite being so comfortable relying on them for economic viability. California? Michigan? How about New York? Maybe not being surrounded by a culture that will look at your house on fire and say THIS SHIT will help improve the memetically bad attitude of the residents of NYC.

You know, normally even I’d suggest calming down and not getting too worked up over politics like that. At least the USA isn’t North Korea (yet).
But at this point? Fuck all the MAGAtards. I just read how even Mexico and convicted felons are helping California fight the fires while Trump and Musk and their brownnosers apparently couldn’t care less. MAGAtards really are the lowest scum of the Earth at this point and I despise them all.

It is disgusting, really, to read about Trumpists spending their time, since November, insulting those who helped the USA.
A nominee called to destroy the NIH, a Russian mole is set to led the DIA, someone who campaigned for war criminals and belittled female and transgender servicemembers is to led the Pentagon, an insider is openly funding anti-democratic movements in allied countries. Trump himself has openly aired irredentist claims against allies, calling to forcibly annex territories from these, and called to purge military officers for his shortcomings in Afghanistan.
MAGA fundamentally seems to be the belief that “we’re over goods and services from les-deserving groups, and fuck you-get mine.”
