If all the people in the good paying jobs -manager, engineers, influencer, politicians- (mostly male dominated fields) would stop working for a year would you notice? If every person in a typical female job -care taker, nurse, education jobs- would stop working for a day would you notice? Now again what was your point? That we have a stupid Paygap?
You would think that for a “#NationalOffendACollegeStudentDay”, they would put out their strongest lines, not their most trite…
Will they ever notice that they never actually manage to “trigger” anyone?
Well, several decades ago it was those women who didn't take such courses...:

...to change things for the better . And in more ways than one, now you're in a free country since WWII, Christina Huff .
So, Christina Hoff Sommers only read part of the 'gender pay gap' complaint? Sees that the cry is 'women get paid less' and assumes it's for 'womanly' work?
The complaint is disequal pay for equal work, Christina. You have to read ALL the way to the end of the paragraph. College students know this...
And, you know, so do i, but my college kid helped me through the big words.
I have severe math disabilities. I can understand the science and all the concepts, I can code (but I don’t enjoy it). But when it comes to numbers, my brain just jumbles them all up. Thanks for assuming engineering and maths are an option for all of us, you ableist asshole.

Granted there are quite a few engineers in maintenance and such that are important. But my point was not that „male“ jobs are less important than „female“ jobs but that there is a difference that is just not justifiable. There are important male dominated fields like police and firefighters.
The point is that our reward system is inherently screwed. There was this nice quote that says „parents are willing to pay those who care for their money, better than those who care for their children“
It is a documented fact that occupations actually lost massively both in prestige and in paygrade when they became dominated by women - secretaries, for instance. No, the core of the problem is not that women chose less valuable occupation. No, it is because society, even today, considers “women’s work” to be of lesser worth, regardless of its importance or its qualifications - no, by virtue of it being women who do it.
Confused?
