Every single year more than 600,000 people in the US die from cancer.
The country has never once shut down.
Not a single school has closed.

Science, sweetie, you had a placard about it. Cancer isn't contagious, unless it's caused by radiation, which affects everyone in a certain area.
So I take it that you are in favour of HPV vaccinations?

Actually, there are forms of cancer that are contagious, both in the form of infections that can cause cancer like Heliobacter pylori and HPV and far more rarely as clonally transmissible cancers (CTC) that are transmitted directly. Cases of the latter include a venereal disease of dogs, the plague of facial tumours that is threatening the Tasmanian Devils and one case where a HIV patient who got a tumour from his tapeworm. There’s also the fox tapeworm Echinococcus multilocularis , who in immediate (e.g. mice) and accidental (e.g. humans) hosts has larvae that form cysts infiltrating tissues and metastasising through the body in a way very similar to cancer.
With the rarest exceptions, cancers are not communicable, but on the off-chance stupidity may be, I try not to read anything MTG says.
Does Major I Try Greener Aloe really not know that most forms of cancer aren’t contagious?
Or does she know, she’s just counting on her target audience not knowing?
Of course she'd do a whataboutism comparing Covid prevention measures to cancer. I mean, she'd be a candidate for Fuckwit of the Year if all she did was read off the menu at her local Denny's (by dint of her somehow turning the menu into a three-hour long soliloquy about why Muslims bad and insurrectionists good, capped off with her sticking her fat nose into some rando's mailslot to scream at them.) Like, yeah, what else was she gonna do, think about the consequences of her actions and reconsider being a fucking terrible person? Not this fucking year, kids.
I think her claim is more that since the two-year COVID-19 death toll is the same as the one-year cancer death toll, it’s still Not a Big Deal, economically speaking. Failing to consider (a) it would have been greater without our failsafes, and (b) this is callousness incarnate—far worse than an economic wane.
Of course, the MAGA retinue likely think this sort of callousness is an absolute necessity to survive in any situation…

It'll be a healthy mix of, “Bill Gates invented cancer and the cancer cure to time travel Jesus into the modern era so Bill Gates can punch him and force him at jab-point to be gay!” and “Loony Libtard Left puts thousands of oncol…oncololol…cancer doctors, out of work!”
You know, for a given definition of “healthy.”
Confused?
