Like...? Name skills they would learn and explain why they can't be taught that in school.
Also kids need to be educated to be well rounded in general. You might not use Algebra at your job but you should know the basics at least.
My supervisor’s son is finishing a year where he spent two weeks in every single academy, seeing everything there was on offer in the school.
What kids will learn in a job is how to do that job, and how to deal with demanding idiots in charge.
Hey there everyone, I’m back again! Sorry, last time I let those assholes at Doomer Boards get to me and it kinda drove me insane… I admit I didn’t have the best behavior.
However, there is one request I have, something I desperately want some closure on. That dude called PMSFKS straight up insulted me and called me an idiot when I was at a low point in my life, vulnerable and not thinking properly. I thought of you as friends, and it hurt badly when one of you turned on me. I just want something to be done about PMSFKS and the people who upvoted his post.

... So the first thing you do when you get back, rather than talk it out with a better frame of mind, is try to guilt the people here into abusing mod privileges to get revenge for you. Even I can see the backhanded emotional manipulation here.
I'd try to mediate (bad as I am with that sort of thing) and point out we're not always going to be in sync here, I for example have a decidedly controversial stance on the death penalty and fully expect people to have a strong opinion in response, but the thing is going and looking at the exact post you referenced you come off as completely disingenuous. Both then and now.
You came here looking for people to insult someone you had personal beef with and get us to validate you. And here you're doing it again, except even worse. PMSFKS might have been rude but make no mistake: You're the one trying their best to be a bully.

Oh I don't think Libertarians ever claimed to want what was best for children, they've always been pretty up front in the "all about me" aspect. They are, however, talking a complete load of crap about personal rights and freedoms with this as usual as child labour *revolves* around curbing a child's rights and using brute force authority, absolute dependency on caretakers, and the severe limitation of developing skills and knowledge to keep them from ever acting on their limited rights.
These are the same kinds of people who bitch about how “wimmens in the workforce means less jerbs fer Men!” and now they want kids to take even more jobs from them?

Child labour, folks. I thought the debate was settled in the Gilded Age. Especially when workforce would need to be more and more trained in the future and already now.
They followed that up with “If child labor were legal, Greta Thunberg could be lowering American's energy costs by mining coal, instead of raising them by fighting nuclear power”

Look, I may not be the most socially skilled person in the world and not know your full actions at Doomer Boards, but even I can see that what you are saying is controversial at best.
I mean, sure, you apologized for your earlier behavior, which by itself is fine, but then you IMMEDIATELY try to deflect the blame to PMSFKS (and everyone that just agreed with him) over just one comment. That kinda ruins the apology itself and really does not improve your standing.

What the kids will learn by being exploited is how to deal with being exploited.
As others have said, y’all want child labor because kids are easy to exploit. I also know y’all are already doing it, and when y’all get caught, it’s just a slap on the wrist. Honestly, this topic just makes me so frustrated and angry I’m having trouble expressing it.

I understand that you’re angry, but like others have said to you before, it’s not our job to go after people you don’t like. It’s also not our job to punish people who upset you. This should be an issue between you and PMSFKS, and not the rest of us. Please stop trying to suck us into your drama , it is inappropriate and not what this site is for.
It exists everywhere and especially in some countries, but unfortunately even when not legal it's often a de-facto situation for some. Instead of a middle class, there can be the homeless working class or the basically enslaved, working for religious organizations, farms, sweat shops, domestics, etc. And the avoidance of mainstream society is not only for the elites but also for the people they exploit, including shielding them from education, encouraging homeschooling, etc. Also existing, and not only for trafficked people, is indenture...
