And yes, here in Germany I got a piece of paper with a QR at the vaccination center automatically, and can ask for it at the doctor if you got it there. You can then use an app to scan it, and then just show your phone. Most places don’t even bother to scan them, though, they let you through if you have something at all. No demons or mini-shoggoths come climbing out of them.
Edit: as for paying for tests: tests used to be free for awhile, because there was no vaccine and it was necessary to test a lot of people. Now the vaccine is out, most are vaccinated, and the goverment is now revoking this priviledge. Because now there is a cheaper alternative to getting tested all the time, namely getting the vaccine.
