I’m going to go out on a limb and assume the incel pattern of words they use not having the slightest connection to language as we know it (or reality) is in play here and what’s really being referred to isn’t surgery restore a hymen but to repair the damage of removing the clitoris. A “surgery” practiced among fundamentalist Muslims under the twisted logic that if sex is horrifically agonizing for women (alongside other “unimportant” side effects like life-threatening infections, chronic pain, hemorrhaging, drastic increases to the risks of complications during childbirth, infertility, etc) then men will stop being “tempted” to have sex with them. A supposition that tends to cough unconvincingly over any mention of the agency of men to deal with our own libidos leaving a rather strong implication that we’re mindless penis monsters incapable of rational thought in most circumstances which I find insulting but unfortunately I find myself outnumbered by men who seem to justify thinking such things. It also hastily attempts blow smoke at the societal disparity between genders in how much agency is given over one’s ability pursue or indeed reject a sexual advance. The latter of which is pretty relevant given the horrendous amount of rape that goes on in areas that have adopted this practice and some men are convinced that coercion using a difference in social standing is perfectly acceptable and simply existing within their sight counts as an invitation. Usually rationalized along the lines of “why else would they even be here?”

The complete ineffectiveness of what’s insultingly termed “female circumcision” to try and dress it up as medicine and equate it to circumcisions common among men in achieving that aim should have been self evident centuries ago along with such stunning ideas as aggressively policing women’s appearances while still also demanding they “pretty themselves up” for us and equate their physical attractiveness with the very value of their lives. But somehow it clings like shit and we haven’t gotten to a wide enough realization that when you give rapists excuses and even punish their victims instead of them they’re going to be quite keen on pushing their luck but humans are slow learners and assholes who have a vested interest in displacing responsibility for their actions aren’t shy about hobbling the entire human race if it lets them do as they please especially if it gives them automatic social power over half the population in the process.

At least, that’s something that’s an actual issue someone in the world talks about that this idiot might have read out of the corner of their eye before constructing their own elaborate fantasies because I’m honestly hard pressed to remember any kind of large scale controversy concerning hymenoplasty. I didn’t even think that was a procedure that existed before I double checked (which I must now admit I only did after the first half of my comment like a jackass) but there you go.

Nope, this is the worst kind of patriarchal hypocrisy. The hymen doesn’t exist like a barrier in the first place. If it did, virgin girls would not be able to menstruate. Some people are born with little or no hymen, most people just have a fringe, like an inverted mushroom annulus. It might break the first time a person has sex, it might just stretch a bit even after years of having sex, or it might have broken ages before, during exercise.

How is it a man isn’t a Real Man until he had sex, but a woman is suddenly a Slut when SHE’s had sex? Why would women want to have sex with idiots with this attitude, again? Oh yeah; WE DON’T!

FGM is like cutting off the penis-glans, splitting the shaft in two, and sew the halves to the abdominal wall, AND THEN say that now he’s a MAN and will be able to marry, and he will feel SO MUCH better without all that excess stuff flopping about.

Hymen repair, or at least stitches to simulate virginity, are centuries old.
Guys need to think that their sex won't be compared to some other stud, and have been that pathetic for fucking ever.
There are also traditions that sexually transmitted diseases are cured by fucking a virgin. It's long been easier to get a midwife to sew a prositute than to procur another virgin.

All in all, the entire issue just shows that men and women are victims of men's vanity and stupidity. If that's not redundant.

Also; It’s not “Circumcision”, it’s “Genital Mutilation”! The male version doesn’t compare to the female version. The post-circumcision penis is still intact (but with a membrane removed). Female Genital Mutilation involves removing all the important parts.

Male circumcision was meant as a hygiene measure for a time and culture where water was scarcer and bathing was infrequent as a result (and they needed water more for cooking, drinking and cleaning the home). This is why Judaism commanded such a thing as well has restricted certain types of food. Dirty penises are gross and get infected, pork often had worms and disease, shellfish spoils easily, blood contained the critter’s “life-force/soul” and would be cruel to consume (also, health reasons).

Female Genital Mutilation, however; Is just about oppression and because inheritance is Patrilinear rather than the more biologically sensible Matrilinear. Patriarchy is BIOLOGICALLY backwards. Throughout History; IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THAT Male & Female have equal status, inheritance of Family name and property should be matrilinear (from Mother to children of either sex). Women have a huge, perhaps final say in whom she mates with (while keeping things mutual) just like with other animals and RAPE IS BAD!

Since we now live in a world where germ theory is known, refrigeration and animal breeding a thing, water easier to get in most places, DNA paternity tests a thing, contraception and sterilization far more effective, most STIs curable or at least treatable & preventable, family structure and roles not longer SERIOUS BUSINESS, both sexes having a measure of equality, etc. stuff like most Sexual Restrictions, Circumcision, Kashrut/Halal, etc. are mainly obsolete.
