Bastethotep pretty much said exactly what I was going to say. As annoying as my autism and all can be sometimes, it also gives me some very good traits (such as being honest to a fault). And quite frankly, if I look at how “NT people” tend to behave (highly irrationally for starters), then I am very glad I’m different. “Normal” is highly overrated. Plus it could be much worse. I could be a narcissist, a psychopath, mentally disabled, delusional, a compulsive liar… You know, an incel. Or the orange turd.

Besides, sometimes I think it’s not my autism and all that’s the problem. It’s that so many “NT people” in my past were lacking in empathy or basic understanding to properly handle me. F*cking teachers punishing me for being autistic, while clearing my bulllies…

To clarify, it’s not (only) this one comment that makes me feel bad (although it certainly doesn’t help) I just have a lot of self-confidence issues in general. Thanks for that. As proud as I am of those beliefs in private, I’m kinda ashamed to admit them in public because it’s not something most “alpha male macho’s” these days would accept. They’d probably consider me a beta male and not worth listening to. The patriarchy hurts both ways, I’m afraid.

Honestly, my ideal (realistic) life would just be spending it all with my soul mate, enjoying each other’s existence (if nothing else), she works hard (but not too often away), while I spend my days at home, supporting her and trying to pursue a career as a semi-professional writer… Unfortunatly, I haven’t found my soul mate yet and am still lacking in the inspiration to write something decent. But it’s that dream and hope that helps me get through stuff, you know?

So let me get this straight, you selfishly pray a little bit for god to help you with your stupid hobby (doesn’t god have better things to do?) and he grants it. But people suffering from disease, poverty, hunger, and/or disasters all over the world can selflessly pray their bones off, god ignores them. Yeah, that makes god look like an asshole, to be sure.

And don’t you dare say “oh but they didn’t pray with enough faith!” A decent god should care more about what you’re asking for then how you’re asking for it. Besides, how do you know they didn’t have enough faith? And if god wants them to have more faith, wouldn’t it help to grant their needs in times of crisis?

While I’m sure moral guardians will once again blame the media for their own lack of responsibility next time another shooting happens, that doesn’t mean the media is actually responsible. More often than not, it’s some guy being completely insane and/or abused by those very moral guardians and their system.

Honestly, I’m not 100% sure of my current point, but I’ll try to make one anyway. New media can actually get good messages across, even the most dark and depressing stories. Attack on Titan, as bloodfilled and nihilistic it can be (and awesome too), has actually taught me a very valuable lesson that I hold to heart and am very grateful for: violence breeds violence & hatred breeds hatred. Plus revenge (expecially by proxy) is ultimately pointless at best and more often than not utterly harmful to everyone. The only way to break the cycle of empty hatred and vengeance is to love and forgive, as extremely hard as it may be.
