Which led to some odd things by our modern perspective, because I think it’s in the “Twelfth Night” and I’m sure some other plays, there’s instances of female characters posing as male for some reason or another….so the playgoers were watching a man acting the part of a woman posing as a man.

I was born in 1977, and I remember watching the local news on TV since I knew what TV was. As far back as I can remember, we always had at least some black anchors and reporters. In other words: People of color complain about being underrepresented in entertainment, but what about this game that doesn’t have white people in it? Wow, that’s what I call “comically missing the point!”

Also, I just now Googled what percent of people in the US are white…seems like it’s close to 60 percent, maybe a little under or over, depending on whose numbers you believe I guess. I always thought a “supermajority” was at least two thirds, or 66.7% rounded off. And of course not all of us white people have an issue with people in a game being not white. So that 2nd sentence is BS on multiple levels.

In that, the lookalike they got to be a stand-in for the real President got stuck with the job because the real one then suffered a stroke and eventually died. (good movie actually, IMO)

I’ve heard (where from, I don’t recall) that was a low estimate at the time, and I don’t know what the number is today.
