Yeah, I hate how current year activist try to claim games like the original Dragon Age trilogy because of "queerness", when queerness is inherently political,
I’ve come to know by now that when people complain about something in a video game or whatever being “political”, what they’re really saying is effectively… “I don’t like it.” I think kinda the same way, really…like if there were a game that was centered on conservative political stances, I wouldn’t like it. Tho, I think just calling it “political” is wrong, it just has the politics you don’t like.
I started playing video games in the times of the Nintendo Entertainment System and such. There were really no explicitly queer characters, I guess. But also, at the time, the characters that were there weren’t said to be NOT? One of my favorite games of all time is “Mike Tyson’s Punchout”. We don’t know, “Little Mac” could have been gay, or bi, or whatever.
