As a “liberal Trump-hater,” I have cheered each of his primary victories. If Kari Lake had secured the nomination, she’d probably beat Biden, and I don’t see that being much better than a second Trump term. My hope is for him to have to run his campaign from prison, with most of his campaign funds having been wasted on his legal defense.
Better yet, if he dies before announcing a running-mate, leaving the Republicans eating each other until the Dems get majorities in the house and the senate.
In my wildest fantasies, two or more conservative supreme court justices die from shock or shame, or maybe even go to prison for corruption, and we get some competent justices with some integrity who override Dobbs and Citizens United, and preserve the Chevron Doctrine.
Then, the constitutional gaps in human rights (gay rights, trans rights, and abortion rights) could get enshrined, the Electoral College abolished, the first and second amendments, well, amended to ensure christo-fascists can no long gain power and weapons of war remain in the hands of the military (well-regulated militia= national guard.)
Then, mine and my wife’s health problems are cured, and we gain jobs paying more than enough money to live comfortably, while leaving us with enough free time to enjoy it, my allergies are cured and our cats come back and we all live together as one happy family! Maybe Joe Manganiello can move in with us, too… if I’m gonna dream, I’m gonna dream big!
