Why are some people homosexual?
Imho, it is from the devil. The battlefield is the mind. The devil counterfeits the good things of God to deceive humans to destroy them slowly.
I was molested twice as a child and as a result of that I had gotten evil spirits in me that were pushing their ungodly emotions/feelings/desires through me making me think that I was homosexual and desired to be with men.
I received deliverance from evil spirits and those emotions/feelings/desires left.
I had gotten married to a wonderful woman and we've been married for 12 years now.
Thanks,
TT
If there is no God, then what do you attribute the death of hundreds of thousands of infants to? Mother nature? What kind of a nature is that, or what kind of a mother would allow hundreds of thousands of infants to die?
When Darwin's daughter died, Darwin could not accept any explaination for why it happened. He could not accept a God who would "allow" his daughter to die, and he could not accept a natural world where it was possible for things like this to happen.
Is life and death determined by the twist and turn of events? Was it by mere chance that hundreds of thousands of infants died, with no reason for it? Were they just in the wrong place at the wrong time?
[This is AV1611VET's way to support correctness of the literal story of the flood]
Have you noticed, Vance, that all of these cultures that have supposedly been around for so long --- got the flood story wrong?
In everything I've read so far --- not one has mentioned Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth by name; given the dimensions of the Ark; the duration of the rainfall; the windows of Heaven; the animals going in two by two --- nothing.
This tells me that either the Flood didn't happen, or the stories were written after-the-fact to mock the true story --- and which explanation do you think I'm going to go with?
Circle of Earth doesn't defy a Flat Earth.
A Flat Earth is not a cube or square, but a disc, with the "North" Pole in the center, thus any navigation by compass would not contradict our notion of a spherical Earth.
And it is no laughing matter. There is a worldwide conspiracy perpetuating the myth of a spherical Earth.
Thankfully, there are a select few who haven't been silenced by the Government. There is a website and forum attempting to open peoples' eyes with thorough explanations for the phenomena most people have never questioned.
I love Kent Hovind. He is wonderful, smart and handsome.
His website is right on.
I love his $250,000 offer to evolutionists. The evolutionists claim he wants the "big bang" demonstrated, but he said and I heard him that ANY proof will do.
Produce a fossil...
Evolutionists conventiently forget the law of biogenesis which demonstrates life cannot create itself.
There are no fossils and if anyone thinks so, he is deceived. If there were, the evolutionists would not have tried their Peltdown man trick.
[Are you talking about Kent Hovind the creationist trickster, the one with the fake "Doctorate" from an online college???? Yeah, riiight, when I want to fantasize about a man, I just visualize Kent Hovind and then one of his moronic comments....excuse me I am not feeling well...*runs to restroom*.....]
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and if you don't think Kent Hovind is an attractive and totally gorgeous male, then you are not beholding him.
I watch him on Carl Baugh and he is handsome. What a doll!
He does not have a fake doctorate. In the recent email i got from his ministry, he said there are over a thousand websites against him, which is good for him since Jesus said woe unto us when all men speak well of you.
[When asked what evidence he has, outside of the Bible, for the non-existence of various cultures before the Flood]
None --- I don't do that kind of extra-Biblical research. It's not my thing. Outside of the Bible, I'm disarmed and disoriented.
any woman is capable of being pregnant. Even if she is sterile there is still possibility. In marriage whenever there is sex there is ALWAYS possibility to life. If that possibility is taken away, then it can't be a valid marriage because of procreation.
[regarding human hermaphrodites]
Of course ALL mutations, pain and sorrow are the result of the FALL. I'm sure that you have simplified anything I might have ever said in such a way to try to discredit and promote your own agenda. That is to your disgrace and not mine. Again, I know of no such person with such a problem; however, the reality is that if a homosexual would have sex with such because he thought the individual a male (when in fact the individual was presumably both) that would destroy the very notion that the homosexual could not have relations with someone of the opposite sex, because the reality would be that the drive was all of his imagination...
Anthropologists are not scientists.
WHAT KIND OF EVIL IS THIS!? "Catholics" for a "free choice", ie. foul liberals supporting fortification and the murder of unborn babies!?
Does your Archibshops know about this? This kind of heretics (a spade is a spade) should be excommunicated for their rejection of dogma and of Christian morale and ethics!
IMHO, this why the holy inquisition is still needed, to protect Christendom from this kind of false converts. Their views are abominations and a threat to all that we stand for. It's time for a big "Deus Vult"!

Again: I do not have a problem with circular logic - none.
2 + 5 = 7 because 7 = 2 + 5.
God ordained the torture of Christ for our benefit. So that one day we may be so lucky as to see the kingdom of heaven. The torture of Christ on the cross came for a greater benefit. It saved all who profess faith in him.
Torture, if used to benefit the greater good and save American lives, isn't morally wrong. However, it should only be reserved for when it is known that a terrorist has information that would save American lives. We have to be very careful with the people we decide to waterboard, and so far the government has done it's job.
[In response to a 14 year old homosexual teenager being shot by a fellow schoolmate because of his sexual orientation]
Moral: Don't be gay.
As I have said before, I don't care if chimp DNA is 100% like ours --- we were created separate. I know you may not understand that, but if you're only looking at it scientifically, then you're not supposed to.
The Bible is not a complete work, it is comprised of many individual accounts, each of which can be checked and tested. You actually can rely on the individual books to verify other books in the Bible.
At one time there was supposed to be gods who personally grabbed lightning bolts and hurled them like a spear. Science disproved this claim)
Oh, science has disproved that now, huh? Moses didn't do it? Elijah didn't do it? But your science did. Well, good. Just put your trophy up there next to Hubble's. We Christians know better.
***
Let's be blunt --- your "science" is way behind the times. Isaiah runs rings around your Scientific Method, as well as your false prophet, Edwin Hubble.
When your science ever catches up to the Bible, then you'll have something to say --- but you've got a long way to go.
I believe in equality between a man and a woman, but i also think its ok for a man to get paid more than a woman because the man is supposed to be the bread winner (in my eyes) and the woman to care for the home. I believe in the traditional roles.

Those religions are often forced upon people and they don't have the choice.

Again you miss the point. It was many speeds, and any speed all at the same time, depends on our will, and need, and God's will. It was made to respond to us![example, one star maybe was supposed to shine on earth this year, another one, just as far, maybe was not, so only the light of the one got here!] Why do you think the devil is so jealous and hates mankind so???? We were made to rule the universe with Him. He put us over this creation.
Look at the two witnesses in Rev 11, they have power, like Jesus has power over the earth, and sea, and rain, and etc!!! Jesus calmed the sea, for example. That is the sort of thing that man also was meant to do. We were truly robbed, and sold a horrible false bill of goods, by the enemy of our souls.
[picture of THE HORSEHEAD NEBULA]
Take a look at this picture. Aesthetically, it is beautiful; but epistemologically, it is a testimony to what sin can do. A nebula, the shell of a star that once housed an angel. An angel that chose to "leave his first estate" and come here to cohabit with the women. It now serves as a warning beacon to any other angel that may want to follow in their steps. Aesthetically beautiful, hamartologically ugly - ugly as sin.
[picture of THE GRAND CANYON]
Ditto.
I've got this guy's book, "Forbidden Archeology" and it's amazing how much data is buried by the scientific community -- they only accept what fits their pre-conceived paradigm.
To me, this shows that the rock dating system is flawed. The idea that modern-type humans with intelligent brains could have lived on this earth for millions of years is hard to believe. I do not believe, for example that it would take humans millions of years to figure out how to read, write, be artistic or grow crops in a field. These things showed up several thousand years ago, which is probably not too long after their creation.
What a lot of heterosexuals do is just as evil and corrupt. I even heard a "heterosexual" claim he was turned on by watching two girls going at it! The guy is nothing but a creep. Such practices are what have brought homosexuality out of the closet. Magazines, books, pictures and movies are just excuses to be immoral. It's all down hill from the Romper Room days....
You are wrong because you are trying to establish an understanding without GOD's WORD as the guide. You are applying YOUR logic.
And yet, whenever I ask an atheist to show some evidence of science contradicting the Bible, they can't do it.
Actually, I take that back. The Bible has contradicted science in the past.
When the commonly held science of the day said that the Earth is flat, the Bible said it is a sphere.
When the commonly held science of the day said that the Sun revolves around the Earth, the Bible said that the Earth revolves around the Sun.
As strange as it may be to believe, as recently as the late 19th century, science held that there could not be more than a hundred or so stars in the sky, but the Bible said that there are so many stars that man cannot count them all.
So, I guess, in a sense, the Bible does contradict science.
Maybe you want to repleace my Þåliga English teacher then. This is the reason why everyone should speak Latin...
Anyway, that they where homosexuals are petty much irrelevant, they where pagans and they created the ungodly system of democracy while Israel where ruled by ruled by a holy dictatorship. It's clear that God is against democracy, and the Church has never supported this foolish system.
You guys are trained to interpret history by a process called uniformitarianism. You see a faucet dripping one drop of water per minute into a glass that has 600 drops in it, and you interpret that as the glass having been there at least 10 hours, with no one around.
I'm trained to interpret history by a process called catastrophism. I see a faucet dripping one drop of water per minute into a glass that has 600 drops in it, and I interpret that as, at one point, the faucet having been turned on, then off again, by a transcendent Person.
This makes no sense. The Bible is the Word of God, it has nothing to do with any religion. Our government was founded on Christianity.

You have got to be kidding. Evolution is my perfect example of non-reasoning. If it were so reasonable, why do we have to forcibly indoctrinate children into believing it, and why are evolutionists so terrified of allowing creationists' to even state their cases?
[discussing whether it is possible for babies to sin]
Take a shiny object and wave it in front of a baby and as sure as the sun comes up, he'll reach for it.
Now, take it away from him and watch what happens. He'll pitch a fit because he wants that object.
That's coveting, which is a sin.
[in response to "Why not set it so He only has to kill, say, a badger?" in a discussion on salvation and Jesus' crucifixion]
You want a badger to be your saviour? Now you're starting to think like an atheist. They worship nature --- not us.
I think this type of sex is proabably immoral conduct for everyone. I'm speaking of both anal and oral sex which we know to be grossly immoral conduct for fornicators both gay and hetero.
Even in a male/female marriage I believe it can become sin when it becomes the end to the means, meaning it is more than just a prelude to intercourse in a marriage.
That is what some pastors have said, and I believe they are right. Sex can become witchcraft and idolatry in a male/female marriage.
I disagree with you. This IS the problem with freedom of speech, freedom of religion and democracy. If it weren’t for these things, Fred and his fanatics would not be able to spread their false teachings and many lives would have been saved.
God didn't ordinate Democracy. It was the Pagan homosexual Greeks who introduced this blasphemous system which lays the power of the state in the hands of the stupid majority. (Real) Israel was ruled by a holy dictatorship installed and supported by God. The Holy Inquisition at the Middle Ages, while not punishing people for merely following false teachings, would trial anyone who tried to spread his or her corrupt teachings. Pope Gregory XVI even condemned democracy at some point, I think.
No, these liberal teachings are bad and ungodly. And they should be fought wherever they appear. A Catholic theocracy, like the Papal States before 1870, would be the ideal system.
(Discussing radiometric dating)
What's an isotope?
(He looks it up for himself - wow!)
LOL --- okay --- I just checked it out. Here's the 411 on isotope:
"One of two or more atoms having the same atomic number but different mass numbers."
You mean someone messed up and gave the same element different mass numbers, then covered their mistake by calling it an "isotope"?
There are NO exceptions to abortion whatsoever. It is God's will that the woman was impregnated, and therefore she must birth the child!
I'm glad to see there were no "abortion is OK if she was raped" replies. If she was in fact raped, she must play the hand that was dealt to her, accept it as God's Will, and raise the interracial baby as her own.
[when asked why Eve wasn't surprised to see a talking snake]
Because it was normal.
The bible says that the snake was considered an intelligent creature.
I suspect that the snake was actually a dragon, which every society has a reference to as being intelligent enough to communicate, and yet, calls it "worm" and "Snake".
[After being told repeatedly there was no "first human"]
I know better than to waste my time with "scientists." In my opinion, evolution teaches a monkey gave birth to the first human, and if this is how you justify its denial, have a good day.
The real origins of evolution is Hinduism and the reincarnation theory. That is the first time we hear of species changing form.
Hate to break this to you, but Christ and His teachings were around long before Buddha.
[When it is pointed out that Buddhism came into being about 500 BC, the poster responds with this:]
But Jesus was around before 500 BC.
Its a special right because homosexuals do not deserve equal rights as heterosexuals.
[Creationism has always been impervious to logic, evidence, and reason.]
As it should.
Not hardly --- atheism is, in fact, a polytheistic form of worship, with a female as it's primary deity - (Mother Nature).
I believe the government should be religiously neutral, but the government must take a stand on health issues. The Christian Lifestyle is the most environmentally friendly, socially responsible lifestyle that exists. The Atheistic Lifestyle of extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, pornography, abortion, and homosexuality leads to disease, death and destruction.
The government took a stand on smoking when they started the "is there anything dumber than smoking campaign". There should be a government campaign (for health reasons) that states "is there anything dumber than extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, pornography, abortion, and homosexuality" I include extreme environmentalism, socialism and feminism in this list because they are an attack on Christianity the same as the teaching of evolution.
[ShieldOfFaith answers to criticism of his idea of secession from the United States.]
1. Economy! Economy! Economy! That's all I ever hear about. YOU WILL HAVE NO ECONOMY IF MOST OF YOUR PEOPLE ARE DEAD BECAUSE GOD LAID THE EVER LOVING SMACK DOWN UPON YOU, VIA HURRICANES/ EARTHQUAKES/ FIRES/ FLOODS/ FAMINES/ PESTILENCE/ DIRTY BOMBS...ECT..
2. The Confederacy lost because of arms, munitions, and men. LAZY??? Go tell that to all those who died at Bull Run, Shiloh, Seven Pines or Gettysburg.

First of all, evolution requires lots and lots and lots of time. It needs a universe that has been around for billions of years. But, like Yasic pointed out, if you reverse-engineer the genealogies, you'll see that the universe has only been around for 6000 years --- not nearly enough time for evolution to do it's dirty work.
Second of all, evolution is dirty work. It sends out two "hit men" to do its evil:
survival of the fittest
natural selection
Both of these characters violate God's principles of love and harmony --- and thus cannot be of God.
Thirdly, Jesus, Himself always talked about Creation - He never once mentioned evolution - not even using "the language of the times". And as followers of Jesus Christ, I don't see how Christians should be embracing evolution, either.
Fourthly, after God created the universe in six days, He pronounced it "very good" - (perfect). And that would mean there's no room for improvement, thus evolution need not occur.
The talk of economy is a cope out and you know it. It is not hard to keep your economy going, especially if you HAVE PEOPLE. If you abort all your babies, you won't have an economy in the first place!
For the record, I never said we would have to fight a war with the U.S.. We could secede from the Union without a war. And we would not have to go to war with other nations. If someone were to attack us, we would just go Nuclear on them and shut them down. The vast majority of nations will back down when you Nuke them. Like Japan did in WWII, most humans will just stop trying to fight you if you turn some of their cities into glass and shadows.
Moral values first! Then the economy. In that order.
[From the same thread as his other recent gold nugget - in response to the mocking comment, "Don't you know that a shield of faith gives us protection against a nuclear strike. Unless the other side is more faithful than us..."]
Maybe you're not that familiar with the Bible. But let's just say that if you understand Scripture, you understand that if you are in GODS favor you don't have much to worry about as far as enemies go.
9/11 doesn't happen if we were not a bunch of "Girls Gone Wild" and singing "Back that A@@ up" while men dance lewdly on a float wearing womens lingerie and throwing condoms into the crowd.
Yes, our shield of faith would be a shield against demonic attacks/ nuclear attacks. God simply would protect us. No man or demon can do anything to you if GOD is your Shield!!! Amen!
Mock if you want, that just means your Biblically illiterate.
[Don't you just love a Christian hypocrite??]
Telling you to keep your mouth shut is hateful? Hmmmm....
Nitey nite!
Do NOT call me a hypocrite. A "Christian hypocrite" is an oxymoron. You obiously don't know what a Christian is.
