Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly. We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. What we do have is a Record Stock Market and 401K’s, Lowest Crime numbers in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected. Tariffs have given us Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity, and the strongest National Security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!! Respect?
OK I’m British. Other countries still respect the USA… for the moment. The current admin, however, other countries respect as much as I would an aggressive drunk in my workplace (a public space). I’d be polite to him and try to calm him down. But respect? Never.

French living in Belgium. I do not have any respect left for the US. There may have been a time when we could have the feeling they were trying to get better, but that time is gone. The hoods are off and naked imperialism is back in fashion. At this point, considering how Republicans have gone full fascist and most of the Democrats are just controlled opposition under the thumb of plutocrats, the only hope is to tear down their system and build back better (pun intended).

Native (flemish) Belgian here. What little respect I and the rest who I know used to have for the USA evaporated with Donald Trump and the MAGA party taking control there. We do not respect the fascist imperialists there, we tolerate them because they still wield a lot of power. Like how one tolerates that bigoted uncle pennybags at the hope of getting his inheritance when he finally bites the dust.
The USA proving that they were a “fair weather friend” to the EU instead of a proper ally really ruined their reputation amongst all of us. Not to mention Trump’s obsession with annexing Greenland…

As a USAian, I totally understand if no one trusts this country anymore. Whenever the Republicans are sufficiently in charge, they undo much of the work of their predecessors, including other Republicans, and throw out any inconvenient promises/deals/treaties for short-term political convenience. Democrats haven’t been very reliable at fixing that - to be fair, it’s not entirely their fault, rebuilding stuff is harder than breaking things, and the Senate has been a frequent roadblock to getting anything done regardless of who’s in charge. But even if they were, the fact that there would be gaps regardless is enough for us to be considered unreliable.
It started to become a noticeable problem during the Bush Junior administration and has only gotten worse under Trump. There’s no good reason to believe it’s going to end any time remotely soon, even if Trump is as bad as it’s going to get, and for that I apologize on our behalf.
