As a general rule, grown men should not go to therapy. Most therapists are liberal women who couldn’t possibly have any useful advice to give them. Most people who go to therapy are also women. That’s because sitting around and talking about your feelings is inherently feminine. Men don’t solve their problems that way.

Shiny mirror is shiny.
“As a general rule, grown men should not go to therapy.”
General? But i was in the Navy. Me going to a therapist was actually admiralable.
I’ll see myself out.

Wow. People who want to help other people tend to be liberal?
Especially women who want to help others deal with scary realities?
You’re going to go out on a limb like that and be that extreme?
“who couldn’t possibly have any useful advice to give them.”
Ah. Someone made Matt go to therapy and the bitch wouldn’t just listen to him brag, they wanted HIM to change HIS views. The audacity!

Sad to say, in today’s world you’re probably right.
But it really helped me.
I told my coworkers i wasn’t sure if i was clinically depressed or tired. They all voted that I was clinically depressed. I figured if my joke fell THAT flat, maybe I should see a therapist.
It helped.

True, but not in the way you probably think…
I was hoping there would be a quote by ol’ Matty-boy, as it gives me the opportunity to post this:
https://www.mediamatters.org/matt-walsh/deleted-matt-walsh-blog-post-calls-concept-adolescence-modern-plague
Walsh has faced criticism for previous commentary, reported by Media Matters, in which the far-right pundit suggested that girls as young as 16 should marry and become pregnant, saying, “The problem is not, per se, teenage pregnancy — it’s unwed pregnancy.” Walsh argued that girls who are “still in high school … want, biologically and metaphysically and with everything in their body, they want to settle down, they want to start a family” and said that 16-year-olds are adults:"At about 16, you're an adult who is mature and can make decisions — you are that at 16. I don't care what anybody says. And if you're going to tell me it's different, well, then how come for the first 10,000 years of human civilization, that's the way it was? It's just recently where all of a sudden we're all r------- until we're 25?"
Keep going the way you are, and it’s not therapy you’ll be needing but advice from a lawyer.
But then, with that attitude you’ll be forced into certain programs mandated by the court whilst in prison regardless.
As a general rule, grown men should not go to therapy.
And who the fuck does Matt Walsh think he is to be making “general rules” for men regarding such a thing? Why should I or anyone else give a shit about what he thinks?
Most therapists are liberal women
I don’t know if that’s true or not, but if so…awesome! I had to go to therapy, or I think they called it “counseling”, a few times, both times it was a woman, who I’m sure would be “liberal” by Matt Walsh’s standards…and I found that I enjoyed that more than I thought I would.

And also suffer in silence, because that’s so much better /s
But later these same “macho men”-type losers like Walsh complain about that men on average have the shorter lifespan than women (and how that’s “unfair”).

As our fathers and their fathers did before us. Of course, for Grandpa they called it ‘battle fatigue’ and for Dad they called it, ‘Nam Vet. Code words for not surprising them or demanding too much stability in the face of stress.

Which is why, if they actually cared for men’s well-being, gun control and opposing macho gun culture should be a priority. Granted, men may still dominate the successful suicide rate due to other brutal high-fatality methods like throwing oneself before a train, but reducing the number of people who have a dedicated lethal easy-to-use weapon ready at home when they hit that one deepest low of depression demonstrably is very effective at lowering male suicide rates.
I don’t see how it’s manly to refuse to face health issues.
And no, drinking one’s way out of one’s mental health issues isn’t the manly way to act.

Toxic masculinity. Strength is not simply not having a weakness, it involves HATING all weakness. For Modern Man, empathy is a weakness. Caring is a weakness. You have to be strong, stoic, alone, and persevere! ALWAYS!
Anyone who needs help is a fucking woman, god damn it. REAL men are loners. And cry in the shower where no one can see them.
Confused?
