“Why do people hate God and the Bible, or not believe at all?”
People have used all three to justify various crimes against their fellow man. Slavery, misogyny, sexism, genocide… Can’t imagine why I wouldn’t embrace such source material.

Actually, I was looking for the god i had believed in when i realized i’d become atheist. Everyone had the same disappointing answers.

No, plenty of people are smarter than me.
I just don’t find any of the arguments for gods to be convincing.

No, it’s actually pretty simplistic. Jesus said he’d commit a miracle, his friends didn’t believe him, he did it, they sang his praise as the messiah… Then in the next town, the EXACT SAME THING happened. “I’mma gonna...” “No, WAY!” “Way!”

Well, it depends on WHY you question it. I mean, most textbooks I’ve seen say ‘this is a fact” and then “and this is how we know it’s fact.”
So questioning there methodology wouldn’t be ignorant, but questioning facts because they disagree with the bible is out and out stupid.

No. It’s got too many anonymous accounts. HIstory doesn’t like anonymous accounts. Can’t tel if they were eyewitness or writing a generation later or what…

No, sweetie. It’s been almost exactly 1500 years since a monk decided to date the calendar from the assumed birth of Jesus. Which hasn’t really been proven.

No, it’s not. The gospels do not indicate their authors and were not eyewitnesses anyway.

Read the Sermon on the Mount and then read the news and tell me if the Christains in today’s politics are being Christains as Jesus directed them to be?
