Strangely, the communiqué makes no reference to the persecution of Christians in Islamic countries or in countries like Nigeria, where Muslim terrorists kidnap and kill Catholics.

It also does not reference the Lord's Resistance Army, which attacks muslims in Central Africa. If we are going this route, might as well give the counterpoint.

God cannot contradict himself. A contradictory God would not be God and therefore could not exist.

Then, it is not all-powerful, so christian claims on their god are bunk. Like we suspected.

Don’t need to. You said logic. Logic is a tool for evaluating ideas. the IDEA of the Flood is that a wooden boat was big enough to hold every species of animal on the planet that breathed through the nostrils, and a year’s worth of food for all of them.
There are three species of elephant which would each require tons of food for one year. Even if we ignore spoilage, this story fails before the first raindrop falls.

Whether or not it’s our ‘everyday experience’ that trees are alive, they do not survive being completely submerged for a year.

After retirement, my parents routinely visited the dermatologist to have skin cancers removed, the result of living in the tropics before sunscreen.

My dad as well - he didn’t live in the tropics but he worked on the family ranch from the time he was about 8 until he went to college, and he also played baseball from high school through going to the minors in his mid-20s. He never even thought about sunscreen during those times.
