Actually, Mad Men takes place during the 60s, and yes, the 50s and the 60s (and the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 2010s, and now even the 2020s are all misogynist dystopias)
Meanwhile, Handmaid’s Tale is the misogynist dystopia, and portrays Christians as sharia law Muslims. That’s a slander the Times can get behind.
Uhh… have you actually watched or listened to your kind lately? People like Dale Partridge, Joel Webbon, Doug Wilson, Steven Anderson, Mark Driscoll, among others? They all ‘lament’ women having rights and want us back in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant at all times. And that’s just for white women that don’t have disabilities. They likely want to forcibly sterilize all other women. They never come right out and say it but they want us to be considered property again.
But hey, The Pitt had an episode where ICE were portrayed as the Gestapo.
Have you actually paid attention to ICE and what it’s doing? I don’t mean the lies extreme right wing sources tell about it, but what it’s actually doing? It is the modern Gestapo. It’s not just targeting “criminals”, it’s going after anyone who doesn’t look the way that Christian nationalists want Americans to look. It’s Trump’s personal army. They are trying to create a situation where one group has absolute freedom and the other groups have absolute tyranny. Just because you haven’t run afoul of them yet doesn’t mean you won’t.
