The blathering about cognitive dominance is a real point, if worded obscurely. Russia and China have both made big investments in propaganda and manipulation as social and military tools. It isn’t really the job of the military in general to deal with it but they do intersect in some ways.
The orbital warfare stuff is about big budget contracts that will never need to produce anything. No country is ready for an orbital war and nobody is ready for anything but small scale exploration beyond that. But for Hegseth spending a couple of billions on something that will generate good photo opportunities is better then actually dealing with ugly ground control problems, despite that actually happening.

I think they are a lot more aware of the lack of mental/psychological maturity than they let on. I think this is the major reason they like girls under the age of 18 - because they are innocent and don’t have the experience with the world that adult women have. They are easier to manipulate - not because they’re stupid, but because they don’t have the experience yet to recognize the manipulation.

There is a difference between being attracted to 6 year olds and 14 year olds but that doesn’t make either right. I will even agree that 16 is roughly the point where drawing the line become arguable. The problem for your side is that maturity means more then physical maturity, it means mental maturity and a degree of equal power.
If you really loved them you could wait a year or two, if you don’t think you can talk them into sex or that you will be attracted to them any more then the problem is at your end.

For most of human history, girls matured physically about the age of 16. Increased access to decent nutrition has advanced their physical development.

By and large, 16 year olds are quite within the bandwidth of ‘child’ for all intents and legal purposes. I really, really don’t care if a MAP can rationalize his sexual preference, it’s still statutory rape.
