They are not saying that biological sex is meaningless, just that it’s not as easy as 1+1 equals 2. It’s more like X + y equals 6.
Biological sex is easy?
People’s genders are determined by both body and brain and chromosomes and enzymes and yes, to some extent, feelings.
I’d bet that almost every transgender has wished, very hard, to be the “assigned gender at birth”. But it doesn’t work like that; you can’t change the gender of your brain. With hormones and surgery, you can make the body fit with the brain gender.
That’s right; no-one should be penalized for sexual preference, as you can’t change that either. What you should be penalized for, is sex without informed consent. Funnily enough, some homophobes and transphobes have little or no problem with non-consensual sex. All they care about is forcing others to conform to THEIR preconceived notions.
Of course, homosexuality is different from transgenderism. One is sexual orientation, the other is brain gender. Oh, and neither is about choices; they are born like that. The only choice they have is what to do about it.
Homophobes often claim that homosexuality DOES force us to deny biology. “Man was made for woman, and woman was made for man!”, they bleat.
Transgenderism is about being non-binary, having a body that doesn’t match the brain, or a body and brain that are both at the same time, or neither male nor female. It IS biological; a trans-man has a brain that is similar to cis-men’s brains.
Very, VERY few people are persuaded into seeing themselves as trans. Most trans people have probably been subjected to the opposite; family-members, friends, doctors, etc., telling them they must be imagining things, that it’s only a phase, that they are mentally ill. The depression probably comes from not being believed, being ridiculed, bullied, abused, seeing or reading about other trans-people being murdered.
The last shot fired (according to my googling; there have probably been more since), was the one killing 25-year-old trans-man Dustin Parker in McAlister, Oklahoma, on New Year’s Day.
As a matter of fact, throughout history, many women have been more or less constantly pregnant, and have not had periods (or period pain). Famine tend to reduce or remove periods as well, and starvation has been much more common than over-eating, during most of human history.
Andrea? Are you a man or a woman? It’s usually a woman’s name, but there are men with that name as well (Andrea Bocelli, for example). If you’re a woman, how would you feel, if a penis suddenly grew between your legs? An Adam’s apple in your throat? A beard on your chin? I bet you’d face both physical and psychological pain, dolt.
Kenny IS different. He has a male brain but a female body.
Marketing of menstruation products is pretty ridiculous to begin with. All that blue liquid they are pouring over it, or dipping it into; do they think that we’re all royal? One brand has the slogan of “There are 3,5 billion women in the world. One pad can’t fit them all.” And then goes on to show that they have four different pads, as if suddenly FOUR would fit about a billion each…
There should be a price-break on menstrual products for EVERYONE! Those are products that no-one really WANTS, but that about half of the human population NEED, almost every month. People in developing countries often have a problem getting their hands on these products, and have to resort to using dirty rags, dung, plant leaves, or just stay at home a week per month and fail their education.
The Media might have you believe that black people deserve the same rights as white people have, or that women ought to earn the same as men do when doing the same kind of jobs. Wherever will it END?!? Right? Right…?
