I'm really disappointed with this forum. This is my first post and people here are just as blindly sure of themselves as anywhere else, regardless of reality. I visited the creation museum the day it opened, and it is awesome. It's historically and scientifically accurate and well-designed. It is a great place for not only bringing new people to Christ but reaffirming the faith of existing believers.

Atheists go out of their way to deny the truth and reject God. They are the true definition of evil and satanic! I understand why Christians would get tired of confronting Stan on a regular basis it drains your spiritual energy.

If true Christians had the power in the U.S. there would be so fewer secular laws.

Since they are not, we have so many laws for so many things that shouldn't have to be, that it is almost insane!

Non-Christians can never understand the Lord's teaching of true freedom through obedience to His New Testament commandments. Non-Christians see obedience to His teaching as kind of miserable slavery. They do not see the true slavery of endless secular laws from the result of a society in rebellion against the Lord.

Does God evolve?

New ideas are just that: new ideas. Evolution is a new idea, but I don't think that it has been properly thought out. For example, consider God. God changes all the time, but does evolution apply to Him? The fact is that it does not.

"Wait," I hear you say "God doesn't reproduce, so evolution can't apply to Him." Well, that is interesting, isn't it? The one who created all things can't experience what He created. It's like God creating a rock that He can't lift: something doesn't make sense and it's not God.

What if God did reproduce, do you think that evolution would apply to Him then? Would His children gradually change so that they are nothing like Him? The problem with this is that you would then be saying that there are people more evolved than God. Does that make sense? No.

Who Or What Killed Ryan White

[Are you referring to Africans who ate monkeys who were infected with the virus which causes AIDS, which was then transferred into the human population and spread primarily by sex?

You DO realize that in Africa, by far the largest number of people with the disease are heterosexuals, who spread the disease to each other by heterosexual contact.

Or are you possibly referring to African-American women, who are the single highest risk group in America for contracting HIV?

(God must love lesbians, then — they have the lowest rate of HIV infection of any group!)]

No, it is clear that the only victim I am talking about is Ryan White.

But I do appreciate your empathy with these other victims of the homosexual lifestyle.

I would also like to mention that I also refer to all the other innocent people who got AIDS from blood transfusions.

Atheists come from wealthier families. People from wealthier families are less inclined to commit crime. People who are less inclined to commit crime are less likely to end up in prison.

[Ahh! So if two gay men could get married you'd have no problem then?]

If they married two gay women, no I have no problem with that.

Gay men marrying each other, however, would not be biblical, and biblically speaking God made marriage between male and female.

Ever wondered why God didn't make just one sex? He could have made it that way but He did not.

[Because some of us don't read the Bible literally?

Because some of us don't believe in a literal, six-day creation; or that a literal Adam and Eve just magically "appeared"?

Or that we don't believe that a 480-foot ziggurat fell somewhere in Mesopotamia and that's supposed the reason for the all the languages in the world?

Or we don't believe that water covered the earth to an altitude of 29,070 feet?

Did it ever occur to fundies that if there was enough moisture content in the atmosphere to condense to produce FIVE MILES of water, that the pressure of that atmospheric water would have crushed every living thing even before the Flood ever started?

Did it ever occur to fundies that if water rose to a depth of 29,070 feet, the top two and a half miles would have been solid ice and would never have melted?

You know what I think is sad? Fundies who leave their common sense, their ability to reason, their ability to distinguish between literal fact and metaphor on the the hat rack by the door and assume that since something is in the Bible, it has to be 100 percent, absolutely, infallibly, inerrantly, literally true -- and who insist that everybody MUST believe just as they do or those people are "not Christian".

Sad, sad, SAD.]

Yes it is sad that you try and put God things in the same place as man things.

I assume you believe that Christ was born of a virgin, but yet God couldn't do those other things?

I will again assume that you believe God raised Christ from the dead, but you can't believe He could have make man from dirt?

The Bible tells us that it hadn't rain on the earth before the flood. It says that a mist came up from the earth to water it, so that would mean the atmosphere was different then. So were those finding about the solid ice done from what we know now with the earth as it is after the flood or before?

At one time science thought the earth was flat, but as the Lord showed us more and more we now know it isn't. Science can't make dirt, but yet you think that the God that did couldn't have made Adam from it?

If a person by common sense can't believe those things than how can they believe that when they die they will be with the Lord? You know in a place that science doesn't know about, because the Lord hasn't shown us yet. You believe the Bible, I guess, that when the Lord returns that the dead in Christ will rise first and then those that remain will meet Him in the air? Or do you?

If it is to hard to believe God could do those other things how do you know He can do the once I mentioned? Do you believe that Jesus healed thousands of people when He was here? I will assume your answer is yes, so I will ask if He can make a man that was born blind see again by spitting in some dirt and rubbing it on his eyes then why couldn't He have taken dirt and made Adam?

I have common sense and I use it. I don't have a box for God tho. To believe that He can raise you from the dead, but couldn't have made you from the dirt, well common sense tells me by faith that He can do both those things and many more. The Bible tells us that Gods ways are not our ways, but yet we take what God has allowed man to know so far and try to answer God things with them. Sorry just doesn't make any kind of sense to me to do that.

Oh and by the way, why do you always make such statements like if you are conservative and fundamentalists you don't believe a person is a Christian if they don't do, say or believe this or that? As I said in another post you need to stop painting with such a broad brush, because all you're doing is showing you don't know as much as you would like people to believe you do.

The things you mentioned have nothing to do with salvation, so frankly, altho I find it strange that you can't believe God did what we are told He did if you at least believe the parts of the Bible that tell about what a person must do to be saved...................well thats all that really matters.

I am one of your conservative, fundamentalist, etc. etc., so maybe some here need to get the facts, as I was told to do by another poster, before assuming or stating things as facts that aren't. Just a thought.

I'm implying that abortion is no better than this abomination. Do you think an unborn child feels no pain when its head is ripped from its body and the brains are sucked out with a tube? With appendages getting ripped off etc.

This is done so the woman can go out and serve the sex god with another man -- the pleasure they get at the painful expense of the unborn.

Our rewards in heaven are based on how we lived our Christian life - i.e. our "works" if you will. Those who have no works will have heaven, but no crowns to cast at Messiah's feet. How sad will that day be for them? Others will have crown upon crown to offer their Messiah! What a happy day that will be!

Murdock #fundie christianforums.com

It does no good to debate about God because debates first-off, have to contain facts and atheists have no facts that God doesn't exist. It also does no good to debate about God because the imagination doesn't determine reality.

The first pre-requisite to finding God is the ability to admit that one sins and needs a redeemer. Atheists can't do that yet. But if they could, then they would seek God, provided they have a conscience, and feel remorse for their sins.

But atheists still deny they sin and in fact, even deny that sin exists. But nevertheless, they will never find God until they can admit they sin and feel the remorse for their actions. All the debating in the world won't bring them any closer to God, and in fact, will lead them farther away from admitting their sins and accepting God's love and more and more into the abyss of darkness and confusion. As Jesus tells us, "and the truth shall set you free." And the truth begins at home.

Murdock #fundie christianforums.com

First of all, it's a fact that Jesus died for your sins. In order to deny that, one would have to make up a new history that can't be documented by anyone in history.

But you cannot muster up faith by yourself. Only God can give you the faith to believe. So the first thing you need to do is ask God for faith. Then wait. It sounds like God is drawing you and Jesus promises that he who seeks will find. So every time you feel the desire, ask God for faith and He will give it to you. Sometimes God will wait until we come to the end of ourselves and have no more answers. Then we are completely open to hearing him. I'll pray for you too.

B) Stem cell research currently involves injuring eggs with needles. These injuries go on to have a major negative impact on the growth of the eggs. This will be demonstrated by the advent of the Beast, a child created with a needle (see "sword" in Revelation 12) who will rule the world with evil.

God hates evil. People without Christ are evil, without worth. They do not belong to His fold. They are of Satan's fold. They can go with him! All sin is worthy of eternal punishment. Thank God I am spared that!

Christians sin, yes, but we are FREE from its bondage in Christ. As a Christian, I have a choice not to sin. An unbeliever has no choice--he is drawn to sin. We have been redeemed by His sacrifice, and belong to the Kingdom of God.

That's a bit like saying that because Bush declared war on Iraq and most Americans are against the war means that America isn't at war with Iraq.

Christians who are not at war with atheism are merely submitting to worldly political correctness and do not see God's demands for what they are. God demands our worship and threatens harm to those who do not. Atheism put the wellbeing of our nation at risk by denying God.

ephraimanesti #fundie christianforums.com

Atheists have taken dishonesty to new and ludicrous heights by pretending to have sought high and low for evidence that God exists and, supposedly failing to find such evidence, have wandered off into the darkness mumbling that "there ain't no God." The problem being with this scenario, of course, is that the so-called evidence they have "examined" has been hand-selected to provide the pre-determined desired "proof" of the lack of God's existence. All evidence which WOULD prove the existence of God is, on one bogus pretext or another, disallowed. God is perfectly capable of proving His own existence--the problem is He can only work with open minds.

If atheists were REALLY interested in proof of God's existence, each one of them would look within themselves, find out what the inner need is which drives them to deny the obvious, get that need healed or met as the case may be, and start living like rational children of God. That worked well for me.

There are good and bad in every society, even in Christian America. The abuse of slaves is another sin that took a war to correct. Even a good institution can be perverted and destroyed... sometimes the only solution is to replace it.

None of this changes the truth of God's blessings upon and plans for the USA in world history. We are sinners who are forgiven. That makes all the difference in the world. I rejoice in God's work in the USA and our loyalty to Him throughout our history from the Jamestown settlement even to today.

That is why I am celebrating the Jamestown Proclaimation... dedicating this land to God and to preaching of the Gospel worldwide. God has honored this dedication and I celebrate it.

Rejoice in the Lord for America's Godly heritage. Pray that He will show us mercy for our sins, and continue to give us freedom to evangelize the world.

My fiancé is around wicked people. When I meet him, I had to show him a lot of light to the error of his ways. God showed me things about myself by having him in my life too. So either way, we are both blessings to each other. I can tell how my ex fiancé feels, no matter the mood. Last night before he came to my home, I felt an urgency to pray. So I did but I feel even a stronger urge to pray in tongues. So the whole time praying in tongues, I was searching the spiritual realm trying to figure out what is going on. I saw this spirit trying to get into my house and some other spirit. I REALLY felt like it has something to do with my fiancé but I didn’t know why. He knocked on my door and before I opened it, I stretched out my hand and ask the Lord to cleanse him before he comes into my home. I baby sit my little niece. She fell asleep before he got there. As soon as he came in, we read some of Revelation. I just felt this knot in my spirit and I just didn’t understand why but I KNEW it had something to do with my fiancé. So talking aloud and joking my niece woke up. So we lay down on my bed and started talking. My niece kept STARING at my fiancé in the dark as if she was frightened. I told him to turn on the light and he did. Once she saw who he was, she still was not in peace, I could tell. She was fighting her sleep and she wouldn’t go to sleep no matter how close I was. So I asked him who was he around and he told me he went to his aunt house. I told him he must have been around poisonous people all day. He tries to touch me to console me but I wouldn’t let him touch me.

Most importantly they have found peace with God in Christ and enjoy a higher standard of living....Like other matters spiritual, God had it planned perfectly and Satan failed to prevent it or prevert it. God's love broke through.

I would say 95% of Christians "tone down" the Gospel on a regular basis in order to avoid "offending" people. We cringe at the thought of sounding "intolerant." Some people claim we must water down the Gospel in order to draw in the unbelievers. That is to say, if we preach the Bible, they'll be "turned off." Here is my response to such heresy:

If we water down the Gospel in order to draw people into Christianity, it won't be Christianity anymore. It will be another gospel, and those people we "draw in" will be deceived by our false gospel, and will surely be condemned as a result.

Do we want to be responsible for such a thing?

Why not preach the truth boldly, and leave the rest to the sovereign God?

Why do we avoid preaching about the Judgement and the Lake of Fire when such events/places are BIBLICAL FACT?

IF WE REALLY LOVE UNBELIEVERS AS WE CLAIM TO, IS IT NOT OUR OBLIGATION TO WARN THEM ABOUT HELL?

I got loads of stupid responses at first like 'duh, evolution is SCIENCE, the Bible is bull***t' and 'duh what about fossils' but when I pointed out that the fossil record contradicts evolution, that there are actually no transitional fossils and gave loads more interesting facts about creation, people have actually started to become interested and I've had some positive responses!

I agree God is love, but God is also wrath. The Bible says there are some people who are hated by God, and I believe it. Casting an unrepentant sinner into Hell is not loving. God will pour out His wrath upon them, forever and ever. There is nothing loving about that.

The whole debate about gay marriage is mute. It is like debating wether or not the Tooth Fairy exists.

Debate it all you want, the Tooth Fairy does not exist.

Marriage is a sacrament, it only exists in the eyes of God. No peice of paper or legal legislation will make the Tooth Fairy a reality and neither will a same sex marriage ever be real.

You are just fooling yourself if you are gay and married to a same sex partner if you believe it is real.

It will be without doubt the most shocking day ever, for there are billions who will stand before the throne thinking themselves to be saved, only to be cast into the lake of fire as quickly as they were raised from the dead. It will be a day of great joy for some, but a day of terrible despair for the majority of mankind.

For the lost on that day, there is no hope. It's over! Even after a million-billion years has passed by, the suffering in the lake of fire has only begun!!!

Few Christians, dare I say, very few Christians were saved because they felt God's love. Sinners are saved because they are convicted and ashamed of their sins, and because hell scares the living daylights out of them. Let's be honest, folks!

So why exactly is it that Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, and other "mega church" pastors utterly REFUSE to preach on this subject?

Can anyone say 'Purpose Driven Apostasy'?

While browsing a different section of the forums, I came across this quote:

Aparently this is from the Teens-4-Christ board.

What do other people think of this?
I think self-harm to be a very selfish act indeed, and I believe it to be a form of suicide.
I often wonder how these people who cut can deal with themselves.

I've also looked around, and seem to have discovered many of these "cutters" to be atheists. Does that not say it all?
