I've not checked if the claim about the flag not being allowed is true. It's not impossible.

I did check, and it appears that this is referring to CNA Fest in Nashville. They’re banning the confederate flag, among other things because due to demographics shifts, Nashville is now only 55% white (the remaining 45% consists almost entirely of a mix of black, non-white hispanic, and middle eastern). They’re concerned that open displays of confederate symbols might drive off non-white performers and fans, especially black people.
