More or less, bad only counts as bad if you die without agreeing with the Christian majority. Good and evil are decided not by any standard, but by agreeing with the religious right. Every flaw is excused as someone dealing with “their sins” and “should not be judged for them because they’re only accountable to God”. Rape is ultimately just another “sin” that they expect everyone to forgive. Whereas everyone who isn’t a part of it are horrible reprobates who deserve hell for existing too much.
That’s the truth of American Evangelical Christianity. Right and wrong decided by how much you agree with them.

A deity which has decreed that, must DIE. It must be terminated with extreme prejudice, for it has become a horror most vile. How DARE you think this brings anyone to your side, grants you a smidge of moral legitimacy… Pathetic, disgusting and ultimately only deserving of obliteration.
There is really nothing I can say to something this appalling. Do I bite my tongue, as I would if I overheard a Christian say “I am praying for my attacker,” or do I explode like John Lydon at the end of the song ‘Bodies’ as he was overcome by his disgust and horror at the situation: “Fuck this and fuck that, fuck all the fuckers”?
Well, I am here. The kind of attitude shown by the quotee enables rapists and other criminals and has caused unbearable pain to society. Fuck all the fuckers including Bong Bacolot and if I go to hell for that then so be it.

Some praying for their attacker doesn’t require me to bite my tongue, I at least understand what most of those people are doing. I would like to note several times I’ve heard of Christians, and even the faithful of other religions, doing just this, even as they insist that prison time is necessary.
This crap used here, though? That’s also not a tongue biter, this is the person who is going to hell, and given the chance I’d be tempted to put him there myself. I wonder in fact if that’s the reason so many religious extremists make sure they’re never far from their followers.
