Praise and glory to God for the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The massacre of unborn children has been rolled back in many states already, with many more to come. This is a good day for America.
Appropriately, this decision was announced on the Nativity of John the Baptist, who, when still in his mother's womb, leapt for joy when his mother heard the greeting of Mary.

Ya know, okay, I thought I kinda knew something about the law in the US....but I guess not. I didn't think the Supreme Court could just overturn a previous case because they said so. WTF, Supreme Court??
Not good taste but it also shows the contrasting irony: https://fstdt.com/.Z34 you sure the baby wasn't boldly stiffening his back to demonstrate his rebellion? But sarcastic joke aside, a reason why "pro-life" is not considered adequate by most is the hypocrisy involved. Many anti-abortionists are also pro-death-penalty or will support politics that keep children and families in miserable conditions. Fighting against accessible healthcare is an example and even fighting against women's rights and abortion contributes. Fighting against public sex education also contributes to more unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. That's pro-life? Your appeals to the divine are similar, non-legitimate.
The attitude that George Carlin nailed: “If you’re preborn, you’re fine, if you’re preschool, you’re fucked!”

You know, some real talk here. Ignoring for a moment that any deity that does something like that is not worth worshipping at all and that stuff like this is what validates my atheism to me, what does it say that part of me wishes I was wrong with my atheism? I mean, sure, as bad a as a single, autocratic deity may have the potential to be, isn’t it still better than the chaos of having millions of utterly different voices each claiming that their own stupidity and bigotry is speaking for said deity?
What I’m saying is, the biggest problem with RL religions isn’t necessarily the deities they worship, it’s the stupid, loud humans that claim to represent said deities. And if said deities could speak for themselves, well, maybe there will be less discord and stupidity…
Now all you have to do is campaign for the overturning of the 2nd Amendment. All those retro active abortions.

...thought as much.
But then, of course, Romans 13:1-7. Hosea 13:16 Not only explains his hypocrisy, OP...!
You’ll be the first to complain when your taxes go up to support the increased number of parents and children on welfare, the increase in overcrowded classrooms and other financial aspects of the new baby boom. You’ll be among the first to travel to a state that allows abortion when your teenage daughter says the condom broke, now she’s pregnant, and her doctor says there’s a 95% chance of her dying if she carries to term.
How many unwanted babies have you adopted, goober?

You’re new here, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. That said, “unborn babies” are not a thing. If it is still unborn then it is either a fetus or an embryo, and that is NOT just a matter of semantics. After all, eating an apple seed is not the same as burning down an apple tree. Apologies if all that comes across as rude, it’s just something I’m utterly tired of hearing.
Also, if YHWH did care about “unborn children”, then his followers should probably remind him of that. After all, the firstborn babies of Egypt or the pregnant women of Sodom and Gomorrah and such would disagree.
For context: Hard Light is a forum for discussing and modding of FreeSpace 2, a two-decade-old space shooter.
Goober5000, the poster, has always had weird religious ideas. He released a major mod project unfinished because he saw an astronomical event and thought it signaled the Rapture was imminent. Guess he wanted the unwashed heathens to play his mod during the seven-year tribulation while he chilled in heaven.
If op were concerned about children, he'd be for programs to help families.
Also praising god? Who was it who gave Joshua commands to slaughter cities? Choose carefully. After all the one who gave commands is the one used to justify all kinds of things. Like homophobia, transphobia, violence, etc.
God has nothing to do with this, as the Bible clearly states that he doesn't consider abortion much of a big deal. You'd know that if you had read the fucking thing. No, this is all because the conservatives want to own you like cattle.
If you gave a shit about children, you'd work harder to help the ones we already have rather than use them as weapons to punish people for having sex.
Confused?
