ok whats really funny about this part of the subject is this.no matter what you do you can't get away from what God intended.it doesn't matter if it's 2 women or 2 men there is always one who plays the part of the women and one who plays the part of the man.I work at a subway and 2 women lovers came in and it was really weird cause the one who was playing the girl was really ugly and very manly looking but the one playing the man looked like she could be really hot if she would let her hair grow out and act like a girl.I mean if the gender roles are going to be there why not just go with the real thing?

What do you mean "no organism evolves on it's own"? Isn't that the point of macroevolution? That we come out of nowhere as a pile of goo that swims into the ocean, turns into a fish, crawls onto land, grows legs, grows hair, and all other human features?

Oh yeah, and I've been waiting to ask you something since you know so much, how could an event so accidental cause organisms that can (intelligently perhaps) randomly multiply and randomly select the right aspects of itself (Survival of the fittest) correctly each time it did it until it evolved into what we are today and then randomly decide that it no longer needed to evolve?

I know you say you have fossils and all that kind of evidence to prove your point but can you prove how such an event could happen? Lucky organisms?

to believe or not
One thing that bothers me, are atheists. and it is nothing personal. i have had atheist freinds, they are great people. but what bothers me is the thought that there is no god or higher being period. I mean look around do you really think that all of this just happened. I Know humans are smart but come on. seriously. and if you look into the supernatural and conspiracy theories and all that stuff, there are just way to many "coincidences" for them to actually be coincedences. there has to be something bigger, something out there.

which leads me to my next point. if you compare all the major religions, christianity comes out on top. it is simple. it all boils down to leading a good life. Which is where the bible comes in. many people have theorized that the bible is just a novel that was written to inspire us. you know like "what's the moral of the story" i don't agree with that. but what could it hurt, to think that way. Holy potatoes, A historical document, and a book that makes people change their lifes, and give everything bad, for a life of happiness, joy, and peace. I'd buy it, wait i did.

sorry i ranted. it happens. oh, also there is good bible out there, called "The Message" it is written in modern language, and reads kinda like a novel. i recomend it.

I can't prove that God is real from a very scientific point of view. But let me share a very well known and widely used, I don't know, theory? maybe that is used by many Christians to prove the genuinity of God.

Think of the wind. You can't see it, you don't know where it comes from, you can really touch it, but you know it there. Why? Because you can feel the effects of it, you can see the results of it, such as a hurricane. Even though you can't see it, you can't disprove that its not there since you can feel it. Same with God. You can't see God. Can't touch Him, can't talk to Him face to face, etc. But I know He's there because I can feel Him. I can't help to believe. I can feel Him in my heart, I can see His works and what He does through, by, and for ppl. I can see Him through His creation. When I'm alone in my room feeling utterly helpless and no ones with me, I can feel Him. He gives me peace and reassurance. I can't argue with that. Nor can I prove it with science.

Talking about the LOTR. Tolkien says that its fiction. Thats the difference the Bible says its the all Truth.

your flaw here is that you can't repete that process. dogs and wolves DNA are almost identical where as human and ape DNA are only slightly simillare.FYI dirt and Humans have genetic info in common. what does that tell you about where we came from? all i can tell you is that it wasn't from uncle ape man or grampa humanimal. wolves and dogs can breed humans and apes cannot.your problem is the same as most others like you. you have chosen not to believe what evidence is really out there and have chosen to believe in someone elses self claimed evidence.before you make any other such claims as but our ancestors are apes just like Wolfs & dogs please do an in deapth study of biology.cause this is just sad.

No He did not want to trick us because God is not an author of confusion. My point IS that He knew exactly why He made us the way He did and like the other one here pointed out (think it was Grant, could be wrong though) was that it would be strange anyway if God made people without stomachs, legs, or other functions like that, because they work just the way they are, and it would be unnecessary to create a human without these or to add more things than what already exists on us (like wings or eyesight as good as an eagle's). Such examples earlier however of useless body parts such as the former "tail" or a spleen have been proven to have useful functions, even if some of them are not vital.

You're right nate, Christianity and religion are separate and distinct. Christianity focuses on a relationship with Jesus and obedience to him, not to be some yes-man drone in a church.

I think you will find in all religions people that follow the religion and don't really know what they are doing. They are naive and follow what the higher-ups tell them, it's kinda sad really. People are looking for hope, love, and peace and they get taken advantage of-"well if the pope says so then I guess it's true."

There are however people in every religion that are true adherents that are not naive or ignorant. We should be careful in our judgments of who is and isn't a "true" follower. Maybe it's more like who is guided properly and who is misguided.

All I know is the day I accepted Jesus Christ into my life all that emptiness was filled. I no longer need to go out and seek worldly things to fill the hole that was in me.

I know the evidence; even if a human's DNA is 98% identical to an ape (or any other type of animal like that) it doesn't disprove the fact that God created everything. And considering that He did make everything and that He has all-power, why couldn't He make us identical to an ape while we still could be different from them? And what in the Bible HASN'T been recently proved as reliable?!

And I also agree with Goku and everyone else who has said that God could make the Earth look as old as He wanted to while it stays only 10,000 years old or a trillion years old?!

I don't remember the name (sorry) but remember the principle (not created by Christians or Creationists) that determined that nothing can exist without something else; this principle is just as solid as gravity and applies especially to Creation.

That means in a nutshell that you couldn't evolve because in order to do so you would have to lose the most vital parts of yourself (like parts of your DNA/RNA!) overtime in order to gain a new one, which is not possible because your body would simply stop functioning altogether.

The theory of the Big Bang that I have known all about, most my life states that: In the Beginning there was a little dot that nobody knows how it got there but it had all the matter of the entire universe crammed into it and the tiny dot couldn't handle it all and so BOOM it exploded with a big bang and everything in the universe is came into being everything you see and it kind of ties in with evolution. I would rather just trust the Bible, it says 6 days and I believe it, the original word used in that instance( I don't remember what language) is YOM and it means a 24 hour period, and it is also used when it refers to Jonah in the whale, Jesus when he fasted in the desert and several other instances. I can show you more examples when I find the book that talks about it. I believe that you are pretty strong rooted Christian but I believe the WHOLE Bible and it WAS six literal days. I get most of my apologetics resources(including that book) from AnswersInGenesis.org I also just want to say that science and the Bible go together no matter what people say.

I have heard a lot of people, pastors, and other christians ect say this and I agree. Jesus Christ was the only God who died to save humanity from sin. Did Allah die to save the world? Did buddah die for his followers? No. Christianity is the only religion(although I dont really like using the '"R" word) where a God would love his creation so much that he would come to this Earth and suffer like he did and be nailed on a cross you, me, and every soul on the planet. Just one more thing, Christianity is a relationship with God. Not a religion. Nor do I consider myself religous. Instead I have a relationship with the one true God.

Also tracks (hooves) of horses were found in the same rocks that dinosaurs were found. So wouldn't that support more of what the bible says(that they were put here at the same time) instead of what earlier paleontologists said in support of their whole evolution theory(that dinasours were here millions of years before horses)?

The diagrams that are illustrated in textbooks show the horse to have once had four toes and to slowly develope into a hoof. But that would contradict the fossil records mentioned above. Even evolution scientist of today call those diagrams of the horse "a comple deception". Anyways regardless of that if a 3 toed horse evolved into a one toed horse then whey are there still 3 toed horses? Horses just have a huge genetic range.

I just do not get the theory. It is always contradicting itself. It's crazy sometimes I think that evolutionist have to live with a bigger faith than Christians HAHA. ;)
