Paul's answer was that God's grace was sufficient, that God's strength was made perfect in Paul's weakness. No longer did Paul seek and beg our Lord through his problems. We must trust our God completely because our God provides all the power we need so we will not come up lacking in anything.

Finally Paul's work was done; our Lord had poured out the last message through him; Paul had encouraged the last soul; graduation day had come. A swordsman awaited to send him to his heavenly home.
Some wouldn't have liked that kind of graduation ceremony, but Paul knew it was our Lord's way for him to go, and with all humility, with all love, Paul bowed to the will of our God. Paul used the faith of our God and the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ to seal his testimony with his own blood. The grace of our God was sufficient for Paul just as it will be sufficient for some of us when we come to the end of this life's journey. some of us will be Raptured, but there will be others who will be required to seal their testimony with their own blood!

Does God Support Polygamy?

What do Abraham, Jacob, Esau, David, and Solomon have in common? All of these great men of God had multiple wives. So, does God support polygamy? That’s the question we want to answer today on the B.E.A.T.

INTRODUCTION: Hey what’s up everybody my name is Allen Parr and so the question comes up, “Did God permit Polygamy?” This is a tricky question and one that needs to answered carefully Well there’s actually one verse in the OT that seems to CLEARLY suggest He did (Deut. 21:17). So, in this video I want to look at 1) some of the REASONS why some men had multiple wives; 2) the RESULTS of those decisions and then finally 3) the RELEVANCE for us today.

1. Men had multiple wives for a variety of reasons
a. Barrenness – Sometimes it was because their wife was unable to have children and further the family lineage.
b. Protection for Women – Other times they were providing protection for women because due to many men dying in war there was a disproportionate number of women to men and women were unable to provide for themselves so men would step up and take extra wives to provide support and covering (sadly women were often forced into prostitution to provide for themselves)
i. Deut. 25:5 – There is even a scripture that encourages a man to marry his brother’s wife if the brother died without children.
ii. And so the idea here is do you become a polygamist or do you force that woman to possibly become a prostitute?
c. Alliances – Sometimes it was to forge alliances with other nations and so kings would trade wives to secure the partnership.
d. Greed – Other times men like David chose to take on wives for selfish reasons.
e. But even though, interestingly enough on one occasion God says to David, “Why did you have to go and steal someone else’s wife? If the ones you had weren’t enough I would have given you more—” (Is God condoning polygamy?)

2. The RESULTS of Polygamy
a. Whether it’s a sin or not, interestingly, each time a man took on more than one wife in the Bible it created major problems and divided the home.
b. We can look at Abraham and his two wives, Jacob and his 2 wives + 2 concubines, we can look at the situation between Hannah and Peninnah which was an absolute nightmare, David and his wives and Solomon’s heart turned away from God because of his 700 wives.

3. The RELEVANCE for us today
a. God Established His institution of marriage at creation – The Law of First Mention – God’s design for marriage is very clear and is outlined in both the OT and the NT. In Gen. 2 God says, “And the TWO shall become ONE.” Jesus then confirms this in the NT (Paul says the same thing about church leaders needing to be “the husband of ONE wife.” (see also Eph. 5:22-33 and Col. 3:18-19)) where He repeats the very same scripture found in the OT. So anything outside of God’s original design cannot be His perfect will.
b. Don’t confuse God’s PERMISSIVE will with His PERFECT will – There are many things He allowed but doesn’t desire.
c. Don’t take something that God is DESCRIBING and interpret it as God PRESCRIBING it – David cursed his enemies in prayer does that mean we should do it? When interpreting the Bible be careful not to take isolated events and then make them normative for every believer (poison, snakes, etc.) Does that mean that because it worked for them we should do it?
d. Just like God blesses and uses us despite our many sins in the same way God was patient to bless many men in the OT who took multiple wives. So instead of asking, “Why or how could a holy God bless someone like that?” Instead ask, “How could God overlook some of the stuff that I’ve done and still bless me in spite of what I do?

So did God allow polygamy for various reasons in the OT? I think we have to safely say that He did. But has that ever been God’s perfect will for a marriage relationship? I think we can safely say NO.

The SpaceX live feed footage made it appear that the rocket turned sideways and then went straight down. I assumed it was just the camera angle. However, footage taken from a nearby highway proves it did in fact go straight back down. If it were following the curve of the earth like planes are said to be doing, it would appear to be flying straight like planes do when flying with the "curve." However, unlike planes, Rockets don't have wings, rudders, or ability to adjust the trim to stay straight and level. I mean curved and arched lol. Once they tip over they have no choice but to go straight back down to the ocean.

Hope Remains: The KJV is just as flawed as any other English version. I have nearly 40 years experience working with scripture in the original languages, and taught Hebrew and Greek for many years. God preserved His word in the original languages. That preservation does NOT extend to any translation. The KJV translators were charged with creating a Bible that would support the teachings of the Anglican Church. As a result, they tampered with numerous verses to bring the Bible into line with church doctrine. Further, KJV, like some other versions, contains a verse the translators almost certainly knew was a fraud. 1 John 5:7, as found in KJV, et al, is called the Johannine Comma. It cannot be found in ANY ancient Greek manuscript of the New Testament, nor in any of the early Latin versions. It first appeared in late versions of the Vulgate, added by some anonymous monk copying over the text. It breaks the sense of the passage, and there is not a legitimate Bible scholar in the world who thinks John wrote it. It did not find its way into a Greek version until the 11th century, when someone scribbled it into the margin of a Greek New Testament. When Erasmus created his Greek manuscript, he revised it to agree with late versions of the Vulgate, which was a huge mistake. The translators of KJV chose to ignore all the ancient Greek texts at their disposal, and used primarily Erasmus' so-called Textus Receptus, a seriously flawed version. I understand why you'd think I meant that in a negative way. I'm grateful I'm not triracial because I like simplicity. Tri racialism and beyond is too complex. But like I mentioned earlier, in my family, and many others in Mexico specifically, many call themselves Indios in everyday life. When they do something right or wrong it's just a normal thing. They acknowledge to a significant degree who they are and where they come from. I know Guatemalans do this too. I'm sure there are people in Puerto Rico or Brazil who are obviously more African(with some NA and European mixture nonetheless) who perhaps say they're black for simplicity sakes. Well science determines our species. Science/genetics/biology separates us from gorillas. Science/genetics/biology/separates men from women. When the men are balding at 28, will they still be NA? When they no longer have any or most of the facial structures, will they still be NA? When they're all blonde haired or nappy haired will they still be NA? You should read about genetics more. You'll see that different genetic groups differ significantly from each other. Do you think black people are white? Why do you have a different standard for NA? Why are they the only racial/genetic group that has to be held to a standard of culture? What makes them so special? Why when talking about blacks, whites, Asians, and even middle easterners do we mention them by their genetic makeup but you want us to mention NA by their 'culture affiliation'? I find it all so strange, bewildering, mind boggling, humorous at times, but mostly sad.

I understand 100% what you're trying to say but... it's not practical. It almost delusional. I'm not trying to be mean just straight forward and direct as possible.

None of the races had any concept of race until they came into contact with people totally different from themselves. Then they started to realize that their is something inherently different about the different groups of people.

Your point was from the tribes perspective. Ok. But that's not the point given in this video when referring to NA. You knew we were talking about race/biology but you still brought the culture point up. NA are the most genetically similar group. That's a genetic fact that influences identity. NA, European, East Asian, etc are labels based on biology. American, Canadian, Mexican, Cherokee are based on culture.

The reason there is blood quantum laws today is because NA are such a huge minority. 2 million out of 300 million in USA is only about .6%! If the numbers weren't so small there probably wouldn't be any blood quantum laws in the tribes but even then it doesn't give someone who is only 1/4 NA the right to say they are NA. I repeat this is a biological label. Not cultural.

When we mention black people we are talking about people who are genetically Subsaharan African. It doesn't have to be someone who is 100% black, but they can't be 1/4 black. When I say I like Indian black or white girls I'm talking about someone who has those features.

Can you please answer my questions in my previous reply? I genuinely want to know your opinion when it comes to the extinction of NA. Of the actual people. Are they incapable of understanding science??

I asked if NA are capable of understanding science because you keep telling me 'culture, culture, and culture'. That's why I asked. You keep giving me the impression that NA aren't capable of understanding the facts I'm telling you. I understand the culture argument you are making, but that isn't what we're talking about here. You were totally ignoring the science behind ethnic groups. I know culture plays a role in identity but to deny the genetics of groups is truly ignorant in the proper sense of the word. INDIGENOUS BY BLOOD. That's how we will survive. We can't be accepting anyone or else NA will die out. Native Americans are known to have good hair genetics. That fact will be gone once NA become 1/8 NA. The hair genetics (along with other genetics of ours) will be diluted to the point where you have 'NA' balding at 28 ??. Imagine that! Imagine a world where all or most 'NA' have blond hair and/or blue/green eyes with obvious Caucasian features, or where they look like your average Puerto Rican with an Afro and obvious Subsaharan African features. We'll obviously be extinct if/when that happens.

I don't mind someone being very close to half saying they're NA. It doesn't have to be exactly 1/2 but you have to be up there. This is being very generous. 1/3 is definitely a no no. I also have no problem with people saying they're PART NA. If you knowingly do have NA ancestry you can say you're part NA. But if you say you ARE NA when you're obviously less than half. HELL TO THE NO. It's disrespectful to legit NA with the actual features/blood/genetics.

I hear people saying that blood quantum is a way to breed out NA. So actually marrying nonNA isn't? So as long as your grandkids with blonde hair or an Afro beats a drum he is NA? Sorry but no.

Race is a social construct to a certain degree, however there are genetic factors that are to be taken into consideration that affect people's everyday private lives (Read my other comments on here). The social construct is where we draw the line.

Your opinion actually has more backing by science. Yes I know there are hundreds of different NA groups in all the Americas and we fought each other in ancient times, but we are genetically the most similar/related group. There are some slight differences yes but overall we are pretty similar genetically from Canada to Alaska. We have good hair genetics, we get diabetes more often, the higher cheekbones, we process certain food differently, etc. The Europeans fought each other but many polish consider the English as their European brothers. The same with Koreans and Japanese. And Ghana and Nigeria. So why can't we all NA fuck with each other. We are all NA brothers by BLOOD. Not culture.

INDIGENOUS BY BLOOD?

Native Americans are going to be in a lot of trouble in the future. They have the highest outmarriage rate (how many of them marry non-Indians) in North America. It's something like 40%. If you demand such a high blood quantum to qualify as a real Native American, then it won't take long for entire generations to fall below that threshold and cease to exist as NAs, which will affect overall demographics. At the same time, if you lower it, then you're going to get a sea of people who don't look Native American claiming that they are, which will inevitably result in NA identity being diluted beyond repair.
