If Donald Trump declares martial law and installs himself as Supreme Leader of the United States for life, it will mean the end of democracy in America. Indeed, our constitution won’t have any meaning anymore. But ask yourself this question: is that really such a bad thing?
Frankly, I’d rather have Donald Trump as dictator than have our country suffer through 4 to 8 years of a Biden presidency, which would surely be far worse for America than a Trump coup d’etat. Come to think of it, I can’t think of anything that could go wrong in such a scenario.

YES!
Alot of things will go wrong should Trump do this, the first and obvious thing is the military simply refusing to follow Trump in this coup (not only because they swore an oath to the constitution above all else, including the president but also a combination of Trump pissing them off and them not liking the bastard in the first place) hell they're more likely to remove him from office then do the former and no matter what sort of gunhoe redneck militias can do to stop that (or successfully fight against the world's most powerful military for that matter). Second, even if the military did follow through this blatant power grab (again, they likely won't) you honestly think liberals (and anyone not far right) wouldn't grab arms and fight back? What you suggest would spark a second civil war.
But thank you for admitting that you and your ilk don't give a flying shit about democracy, you just confirm our suspicions.
There's an extremely good reason why there's a scene in "World War Z" in which the actual US Constitution is being saved from the oncoming Zombie Apocalypse.
...but if you think that document should be torn up, fine.
You can kiss goodbye to your very religion's right to exist, then.
There's an extremely good reason why the "Purge" films are set in the US: on a parallel Earth.
Imagine something like a live-action version of "Code Geass":

In which not only the US was taken over by an absolute dictator of an Emperor.
Just ask one George Washington as to why you're not already living under one: if King George III had won a certain War of Independence...!
It would certainly mean 'No Trump Soup for you!'. [/Orange Nazi]
There’s something you forgot in your comment: in a despitic regime, everyone is at risk from the leader. Despotism breeds paranoia, and paranoids especially fear those most near of them, including their partisans. It also tends to cause inefficiency in government, since the leaser nominates mostly on criterium of personal loyalty, and the competent persons are deemed threats (for exemple, let’s see how Middle Eastern armies fared against Israel, rebels and each other).

They seem to think "libruls" don't know how to fight, or that we don't have the will.
The difference is, instead of waving guns around and making everyone afraid, the liberal just doesn't talk about it much because we want our neighbors to feel comfortable living around us.
Rest assured we have, many of us, many hours of target practice, strategic planning, systemic modelling, and a deep well of principle to enable us to do whatever needs be done... And the empathy to mourn the fact that it must.
Confused?
