Yep - it is an absolute nightmare.
I don’t defend killing anyone… but I’m wondering how many we would find that UHC has killed by denial of coverage, if we were to look?
They would love to be able to dump people or deny claims for, well, pre-existing conditions as an example.
I’m on a number of meds. 1 of them by itself costs $9,000 a month. Even if I made $100,000 a year, I couldn’t afford it. If I made $150,000 I could barely afford it and would be spending >80% of my income on it, not to mention the 6 other meds I take every day.
My best friend’s meds cost over $40,000 a month. She has MS.
And we both know that if we were to have cancer, diabetes, any number of other things on top of what we do now, our costs would just skyrocket from their already fairly astronomical height.
Our whole system is sick. It’s designed to make corporations money, not help people. Our society is being crushed under the weight of their greed.
