In 2020 I believed that the left was friendlier to women and children, supporting programs like paid family leave and health care, but even though it's been a few months, I'm still not really over my shock at finding out just how much hatred and contempt the left really has for women and children. I just never imagined it. If you're a woman or child and you need help, don't run to anyone on the left because they'll just take the side of the abuser if he's anything other than a straight white male who doesn't pretend to be a woman.

No. Just no. I of course don’t speak for the whole of the left, but if there is an abuser I would always side with the victim. The important word here being ‘if’. Abusers come in many shapes and forms and I agree that neither sexuality, nor gender is in any way a reason to side with an abuser. But no one rational on the left would do so. The problem is that you see people who don’t fit into your worldview as abusers basically automatically. And no one needs to side with you on that kind of irrationality.
At first I thought she must have had some domestic violence incident last year, as if that is the fault of "the left". But after torturing myself reading the thread, it seems Bekkilyn is ragingly transphobic, and anyone there who calls her out, then immediately hates women.
No prizes for guessing who the real hater is.
As a kid, I had neighbours who were bad with their spouses, an uncle who wasn't exactly a pleasant person, and due to my father's drinking and anger issues, I myself spent a night at a shelter with my mother and brothers, and…what the fuck is wrong with this dumb bitch? At this moment, Speaker of the House Sir Lindsay Hoyle is changing the Parliamentary procedural rules concerning one MP who has to bring her child into the House of Commons.
Although an MP is elected as Speaker - and ceremonially 'forced' into that position by being 'dragged' to the chair when chosen - he or she becomes politically neutral. Sir Lindsay 'was' a Labour MP.

Admit it, controlling bigot, you don’t feel comfortable around some other women even if they did nothing wrong to you and never will and you will much rather socialize with actual women-hating religion whose very principles say you’re to not have any authority in life and especially over males.
