Pekka seriously thought a bunch of the (white) school students would join him in shooting up the school. In his twisted obsession with being the embodiment of natural selection, he chose not to shoot every person that appeared in front of him; instead, he judged whether they were “worthy” of living or not. As I said, he was a deranged lunatic.
But not NEARLY as deranged as the “For Our Son” tribute that was on Youtube for at least 15 years. The video in question claims to honor a son who was “involved” in the shooting in question, and it’s not until you get to the end that you realize the son being honored is Pekka. Posted by his own parents.
Picture some of the American mass shooters, and imagine what the reaction would be if their parents posted a tribute video implying that they died in the shooting as a victim. Because that’s what this was; honoring Pekka as a victim who was shot during the incident. Because he shot himself at the end.
