It is a really stupid idea to try and use the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as an allegory for awakening to your true self, because it implies that you can only be your true self through mad science and that your true self is just you without any inhibitions, including morality-related ones. That and people think of it more as an archetypal “enemy within split personality” these days even though that’s just not how the original was written. I haven’t seen any trans people use this, but there are probably some.
But you don’t have to come up with conspiracy theories around the said book and around pedos taking over kids’ media to point that out… what does the second point even have to do with Jekyll and Hyde?
