I remember a Reddit post according to which US cities where Craigslist had prostitution sections had lower murder rates against working girls than cities without.
There’s a reason why, in the Middle Age, even the Catholic Church tolerated prostitution. I mean, even Saint Louis of France eventually let prostitutes work in some streets. They knew better than fully banning it.
