"Apparently none of these Einsteins understand supply & demand curves. If a prime foids would fetch $130,000, you better believe they would be bred in large quantities until a price / value equilibrium is reached where it's affordable and fair for all men to afford as many slave girls as he wanted. "
Economics do not work that way. Just because something can be sold for a high price does not mean that the market will be inevitably be flooded with competitors. The thing in question could have high associated costs or require economies of scale or in your case be illegal, which would limit the amount of people willing to participate. And, as you brought up, more competitors means driving the price down. Not all of those parties are willing to stay in a race to the bottom. Ultimately there is a final margin that each is unwilling to go under. Therefore even if an equilibrium is reached, there is no guarantee that the price will be "affordable for eveyone".
Apologies to those that were appalled at my detached examination. It's just my argument style to take my opponents arguments at their merits, and then argument ad absurdum as it were. Also not to demean others arguments but simply pointing out that their position is detestable is fairly obvious and one that I'm sure they've heard hundreds of times before. Hanging them with their own rope that they've so gleefully played out is so much more satisfying, and arguably more effective.
/end rantmode.
Sorry about that- left the damn thing on again.
