The Fentanyl overdose may have killed Floyd had he never met the cops that night. Maybe it would have killed him an hour later or mayhe not at all. Maybe he was a dead man that day regardless. But that does not matter. Chauvin speed up his death. Accidentally causing someone's deaths though your actions is still a crime. Also Floyd was calling out he couldn't breath. Lets say at that point Chauvin tried to help him (he did not) do something that make it look less intentional.
