About the shooting, it appears to be widely condemned outside of trolling and a few extremists, but many acknowledge that Trump tasted some of his own medicine, being partly responsible for the increased unrest, and that it's time to calm down. But as expected, the opportunistic far right keeps ramping it up, including its war accelerationism and calls to terrorism with religious rhetoric, with a new excuse to justify it. They even push disinformation accusing whatever scapegoat they hate, including Biden, despite the fact that the shooter was a Republican.
And Bannon blames it on "Trump demonization", meant to misconstrue the fact that he's controversial as some Deep State fake news media conspiracy theory. Sexist racists blame it on "woke hiring incompetence" because a woman was part of the security team. On the other hand, Biden so far has been the one calling for calm and reminding that MAGA extremism is not the American bipartisan politics way. And of course, the security failure is being investigated, as it should be.
Liberals were targetted with disinformation by a trolling campaign too, like false flag conspiracy theories. Considering how Trumpism involves actual conspiracies, it's not that far fetched with such a surreal event for a thought to arise, that extremists fueling on persecution complex and fabricated outrage may have been involved. The trolling also attemps to increase their own divide IRT if Biden can still run. But reliable sources don't embrace false flag conspiracy theories and admit that Biden is old despite having so far been the American people's recourse against MAGA extremism and GOP corruption...
Then of course, like the GOP, far right extremists are also somewhat divided about Trump. Some hoped for him to be even more extremist and persecute the LGBTQ and non-whites, while to moderates he's already over the top. Some outright Nazi trolls demonize Trump, so it's not a "Deep State fake news" problem. Some reluctantly support Trump seeing him as the only alternative to Democrats. Others have been involved in Trumpism and scammed in the process, or used as tools. Others are there for their own opportunistic interests and business. Who knows what happened for this apparently suicidal Republican shooter to do this, it's still being investigated.
